Men are 4 times less likely than women to seek mental health support.
Let that settle for a moment.
It's not that men aren't hurting. It's that the pathway to getting help was never clearly marked for them — and the cost of asking was made to feel too high.
As a therapist and executive coach, I work with men who spend years performing fine before they ever say the words "I'm not okay."
This month, I want to lower that barrier. Not by making men softer — but by making the conversation more honest.
What do you think makes it hardest for men to ask for help? Share in the comments.

"Strength was never the problem. Silence was."
Men don't struggle because they're weak. They struggle because they've been handed a script that says strong men don't ask for help - period.
This month is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, and we're rewriting that script. Break the silence, and you will break the grip it has on your life.
Save this. Share it with someone who needs it.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month — and this statistic stops me every time.
More than 80% of all suicides are men.
Not because men are weaker. Because somewhere along the way, men were taught that needing help is the weakness.
So they lead. They provide. They push through.
And they carry it — quietly, alone — until they can't anymore.
I work with men who are successful by every external measure and exhausted in ways they can't fully name. That's not a character flaw. That's what happens when high performance becomes a substitute for wholeness.
This month, I'm talking about what it actually takes for men to live well — not just lead well.
If this resonates, share it. There's a man in your life who needs to see it.

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is horrific in any context, but within the Christian community, it often carries a particular layer of complexity. Abuse can be physical, spiritual, sexual, psychological, emotional, or financial...and it is more common than many people want to admit. More than 1 in 3 women and more than 1 in 6 men in the US have experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
𝐀𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞.
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.
𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧.
𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
Too many people in Christian spaces have been taught to stay in what God never asked them to survive.
They've heard:
• 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦.
• 𝘚𝘶𝘣𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘎𝘰𝘥.
• 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳.
• 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢 𝘮𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘴.
• 𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴.
• 𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩.
Let me say this plainly:
𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡.
Yes, I believe in the covenant of marriage. I don't advocate for death at the hand of a partner.
You can pray and leave.
You can honor God and stay safe.
You can have faith and tell the truth.
You can love God and set boundaries.
You can choose to stay, but stay in truth.
Violence in marriage is wrong.
Spiritual abuse is abuse.
Weaponizing Scripture to keep someone trapped is evil.
The church has not always handled this well. But hear me clearly:
𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲.
If you are experiencing IPV, seek safety, support, and trauma-informed help. Trauma-informed clergy and counselors exists… I’m one.
You are not weak.
You are not faithless.
And you are not alone.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day—
and I want to take a moment to honor the heart of every team: the doers, organizers, schedulers, gatekeepers, and problem-solvers who make the impossible look easy.
Administrative professionals don’t just support leaders.
They often 𝗮𝗿𝗲 the leaders—unofficially managing people, pressure, and performance behind the scenes.
And here’s the truth:
Far too often, these high-performing professionals get promoted because of how well they execute—but they’re rarely equipped with the leadership training they need to thrive at the next level.
That’s where 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭™ comes in.
It’s my flagship program designed for companies that promote talent from within—but need help developing that talent into resilient, confident, people-ready leaders.
If you’ve got rising stars in your admin or support team—give them more than applause.
𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀. 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹.
Let’s build leaders from the inside out.

Burnout often doesn’t start with employees—it starts with leadership.
Leaders who:
👉🏽 Were promoted without preparation
👉🏽 Are managing people for the first time
👉🏽 Have never been taught how to communicate, coach, or set boundaries
That pressure rolls downhill, and it’s costing companies real talent.
With Learn to Lead Well™, I work with small to mid-sized companies to teach their leaders key leadership skills while also showing them how to grow and build teams without burning out.
Let’s build high-performing, resilient, and mentally well leadership from the inside out.
How do you develop your leaders while ensuring they Lead Well?
04/12/2025
We’ve all seen it.
A high-performer gets promoted to a leadership role… and struggles.
Why?
Because performance ≠ leadership.
Yet so many companies promote from within without giving their team members the tools to lead well. When this happens, a top-performing contributor easily becomes overwhelmed, stressed and ultimately underperforms.
𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼—𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁.
That’s why I created 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹.
A program that teaches new and emerging leaders how to lead others and while staying well and balanced themselves.
Don’t let your company’s top talent walk out the door due to burnout. Give them the support they need and deserve.
