You don't need to win the entire tiebreak in the first three points.
But you definitely don't want to hand your opponent an early lead.

Start simple:
Point 1: Make your serve or return.
Point 2: Play your pattern.
Point 3: Stay patient.

No hero shots.
No panic.
No thinking about 7–6 before you've even played 3 points.

Get yourself into the tiebreak.
Then take it one point at a time.
🎾 What's your biggest tiebreak problem, nerves, serving, or playing too aggressive?

09/09/2026

You played smart tennis all set.
Then the tiebreak starts…
And suddenly you're trying to hit winners from everywhere.
Sound familiar?
A tiebreak isn't the time to become a completely different player.

Stick with what works:
βœ“ Bigger targets
βœ“ More margin
βœ“ Smart shot selection
βœ“ One point at a time

You don't need to play perfect.
You need to stop giving away points.
Save this before your next match. 🎾

STOP LOSING TIEBREAKS YOU SHOULD WIN

How to Play a Better Tiebreak - D.R.Fitness | At The Blakeney Club Tiebreaks have a funny way of changing your game. You might play solid tennis for an entire set, then suddenly start going for shots you wouldn't normally hit. You rush your serve. You aim for the lines. You start thinking about the score after every point. And before you

Here's a simple challenge for your next practice session:
🎾 Hit 10 second serves.
Your goal?
8 out of 10 in.
But don't just count whether they went in.

Pay attention to:
βœ” Spin
βœ” Height over the net
βœ” Placement
βœ” Depth
βœ” Your consistency

Once you can reliably make 8/10, increase the challenge.
Try:
9/10.
Then practice under pressure.

For example:
πŸ‘‰ Miss two in a row? Start over.
πŸ‘‰ Double fault? Lose the practice point.
πŸ‘‰ Hit your target? Give yourself a point.

The goal isn't to hit the hardest second serve.
It's to build one you trust when the score matters.

If your second serve always goes to the same spot...
Your opponent is going to figure it out.
And once they know where it's going?
They can move early.
Prepare early.
And attack.

Instead, start thinking about placement.
🎯 Wide
🎯 Body
🎯 Down the T
You don't need perfect accuracy every time.
You just need enough variety to keep your opponent from getting comfortable.

Because a predictable second serve is an invitation.
Make them guess.

09/02/2026

First serve goes out.
Now the pressure starts. 😬
You toss the ball for your second serve and suddenly you're thinking:
β€œJust get it in.”
That's exactly when your opponent starts thinking:
β€œAttack it.”
Your second serve doesn't need to be faster.
It needs to be reliable and harder to attack.

Focus on:
🎾 Spin
🎯 Placement
↕️ Net clearance
πŸ’ͺ A repeatable motion
🧠 Confidence under pressure

Don't treat your second serve like a punishment for missing your first.
It's the beginning of the point.

08/28/2026

Here's a simple challenge for your next practice session:
🎾 You can't hit a winner before ball #5.
That's it.

For the first five shots, focus only on:
βœ” Depth
βœ” Net clearance
βœ” Spin
βœ” Balance
βœ” Recovery
βœ” Margin

Don't try to finish the point.
Build it.
Then, after five quality balls, look for your opportunity.
You'll start noticing something:
The more patient you become, the more often your opponent gives you the ball you've been waiting for.
You don't always need more power.

Sometimes you just need to stay in the point longer.

That slightly shorter ball comes over…
And your brain immediately says:
β€œGO FOR IT!” 🎯

But ask yourself:
Are you balanced?
Is the ball actually attackable?
Can you hit the shot with control?
If not, keep building.
Deep ball.
Recover.
Deep ball.
Recover.
Then when the real opportunity comes?
Commit.

There's a difference between being aggressive and being reckless.
Smart players don't force opportunities.
They recognize them.

08/26/2026

You hit a great winner.
Then you try to do it again.
And again.
And suddenly you're making errors you didn't need to make. πŸ˜…

Here's a better approach:
Make your opponent beat you.
Keep the ball deep.
Use more margin.
Stay balanced.
Wait for the right opportunity.

You don't have to hit a spectacular shot every point.
Sometimes the smartest shot is simply the one that comes back in.
🎾 Consistency creates pressure.
