Happy 4th of July to the WPSOC Team! Apologies for the delayed post from last week’s Benny Havens Social and Charlotte Knights baseball game, but it’s a good day to share some pics featuring America’s favorite pastime.
We had a good showing with seven Old Grads, several spouses and future Old Grads (aka, kids). The Pub at Uptown fueled us up for a great game where the Knights pulled out a win in the final innings. Thanks to all who came out to join us.
In July we’ll return to our 3rd Thursday of the month schedule for Benny Havens, so stay tuned for details for our Thursday, 16 July get-together.
Stay safe if you’re traveling, we look forward to seeing you at the next event.
Beat Navy!

This is either the worst 3-on-3 basketball team ever, or a trio of Old Grads enjoying the Uptown WPSOC lunch today. Fortunately it’s the latter. On hand for food and fellowship were Jung (‘73), Davis (‘06) and Bolen (‘92).
Looking forward to our next event on 25 June, our monthly Benny Havens social combined with a Knights baseball game at Truist Field. Game tickets are available now, and stay tuned for information on our pre-game Benny Havens festivities.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Founders Day celebration on Sunday, 22 March. We had another great event at The Palmer Building in Charlotte, with over 120 folks coming out to honor our Alma Mater.
Special thanks to COL TK Kelly, our guest speaker from West Point; Gary Dolan ‘69, our “Most Senior” Grad rep; Parker Hanes ‘23, our Youngest Grad; and Paul Coughlin ‘51, our Oldest Grad Emeritus.
Our after action survey went out to all participants this week; take a few minutes and let us know how we did and how we can improve future events. Planning for next year’s Founders Day starts this summer; we’re happy for any help we can get from the Society…reach out and let us know how you can contribute!
