NEW GEAR COMING
Realized yesterday I really don't have a good bicep cable attachment. The short straight bar is fine but I don't really care for it. The rackable curl bar is also kindve annoying to setup towards the end of a workout.
I bought this rotating vgrip attachment from Rogue which should be in within the next week or two. Primarily will be used for two movements but should likely do those two moves better than the current options and being able to use with the cable stack will be a bit more time efficient.

A personal training studio is more than just the equipment inside it. Keeping the space clean, comfortable, and well maintained is part of running a professional training environment.
Today’s project was replacing the weather seal on the front door to help keep the studio more comfortable throughout the year and protect the space from the elements.
Small maintenance projects aren’t always noticeable, but they’re part of keeping the gym in good shape for everyone who trains here.

I've always disliked the lighting in the gym along with the drop ceiling that makes this look like a dentist office. I spent about two hours yesterday planning how to make the bottom picture with chatgpt/gemini and it doesn't seem like too much of an ordeal and also not insanely expensive. No time line but this may be the next project at the gym. Will try the smaller room first to see how it goes before working on the lobby & larger gym area.
Lights would be dimmable and could adjust them to warm/cool.
I don't always execute every idea i have but this may be something on the horizon 🤔

Moved the dragonfly lateral raise to the back of the Adonis tower from the side. This is where I originally wanted to put it but had to partially take Adonis apart to get it back there. This creates a little more space and will no longer have to adjust the dragonfly arms in order to use the Adonis weight stack.

Aside from getting more sleep, one of the main reasons I changed my schedule in February to free up Wednesdays was to create dedicated time for projects around the gym.
I still work out on Wednesdays, but now I also have a window to tackle the little things that often get pushed aside. Recently, I moved the speaker into the corner so it isn't blasting directly into my ear while I'm on my laptop during sessions, installed new weatherstripping on the front door to help with a millipede issue, and lubricated all of the barbell sleeves.
These tasks would eventually get done either way, but having a dedicated day to handle maintenance and improvements keeps everything running more smoothly
