Summer Skewl spotlight! ☀️ Join the one and only Carolina Quirós Otárola for Contemporary Ballet + Contact Improvisation! Carolina Quirós Otárola
😎 Contemporary Ballet blends classical ballet techniques with contemporary movement styles, offering a fusion of grace, strength, and artistic expression. We encourage participants to explore their physicality and artistic sensibility through technique.
😎 Contact improvisation is a collaborative exploration of movement and connection. Through partnered improvisation, participants learn weight-sharing and responsiveness. We will communicate and express creatively through movement, fostering a deep sense of community and mutual understanding. Class culminates in shared reflections and a closing circle to honor the journey together.

SUMMER SKEWL 2026 is ☝️ month away! Over the next few weeks, we are introducing our fabulous instructors and classes. First up — Ravyn Hutton ravynadelys teaching Mindful Modern!
This class merges the breath-driven, expansive movement of Limón technique with the rhythmic isolations and core strength of Dunham technique, creating a dynamic blend of contemporary and modern dance. Classes begin with a mindful warm-up, inspired by yoga and intentional movement, to cultivate presence, release tension, and connect breath to motion.
The focus is on improvisation and play, encouraging dancers to stay present while exploring fluid, grounded, and rhythmic movement. Expect a balance of technical precision and joyful experimentation, where creativity and mindfulness go hand in hand.
Join us on the dance floor for three days of dance, discovery, sweat and fun! Space is limited — SIGN UP TODAY!

"A human kaleidoscope” and a masterclass in artistic collaboration.
Critic Sadie Intihar explores Baran Dance and Moa’s partnership in Charlotte, where movement, music, and visual artistry flowed together with remarkable, "entrancing" cohesion. Through inventive choreography, live music, and striking visual elements, the performance became a celebration of what can happen when artists create in collaboration with one another.
