Feeling like a proud poppa. For the 2nd time this week, I learned that one of my former students accepted a head coaching job at a high profile CMS High School!
Congratulations to Rob Lucchesi for becoming the Head Lacrosse Coach at South Mecklenburg HS! Amazing! Varsity Head coaching jobs are not easy to get at high profile schools. Couldn’t be happier for Rob or Ryan Ahlum (named Head Baseball Coach at Myers Park earlier this week)

So cool to see things come full circle…
I taught Ryan Ahlum (Kindergarten-5th) at Cotswold years ago. He now takes over one of the best baseball programs in the state at Myers Park and will be coaching my son in his senior year. Excited on a few levels for this announcement. Happy for Coach Ahlum who deserves this opportunity. Excited for my son and his teammates because they have a great coach for their senior year. Proud of MPHS for making a good decision. Excited for me to see things come full-circle as a kid I taught is now teaching my kid 🙂. Go Mustangs!

For the past two years, I have had the pleasure of helping Mrs. Cody Starnes and my daughter, Addie, lead an Autism Fitness Class at Motion Fitness Southpark. Along the way, I met some great people and had a chance to reunite with a former student I taught K-5. Cody is moving out west and we had our last class last night 😞. Thanks for the memories!
