After playing in the dirt all afternoon, we continued competing through the evening … this time in a Minute to Win It challenge.

SS/C Kaylee “KK” Kurk and Coach Joe Walker took the “ship” with SS/3B Callie Hill and 3B/C Charlotte Llaneza finishing a CLOSE second.

Girls continue their work today with a Wassermann throwing camp and team hitting. The Little Things …

On this National Catchers Day, we celebrate Charlotte Llaneza (2028), Riley Walker (2029), Kaylee Kurk (2029), and Coach Joe Walker (2025).

These four like to play in the dirt!

Select 30 was a huge success for these four Team NC players! Each girl excelled on the field, made new friends off the diamond, and represented the organization with enthusiasm and class.

I’m a proud coach!

Some highlights …

Callie Hill (2028) was 4-6 over four games with a double and two walks, fielding her shortstop position cleanly throughout.

Monica Jones (2028) pitched 3 effortless innings, allowing 1 earned run and striking out 2, against some of the best offensive talent in the country.

Kaylee Kurk (2029) and Riley Walker (2029) were both selected to play in the final Select 30 game to finish the event. KK had an RBI single and Riley a walk in the finals. Both fielded their spots smoothly.

The future is bright for these players and their teammates! Back to work …
