It’s going to be warm October evening and we can’t resist squeezing in another Wednesday night road ride! Wheels down at 5:30!

Last Wednesday night ride of the season! Ride rolls at 5:30. Join us for pizza and beer after the ride!

Please join us for another Wednesday night Trek Ride (A, B and C groups) tomorrow night. We are losing daylight each day now, so please bring front and rear lights as you never know when you might have a mechanical on the open roads. Start time is still at 6:00p this week AND next.

FYI... we'll move the ride to 5:30p on 9/17 with our last official ride on 10/8. In summary, 5:30p rides on 9/17, 9/24, 10/1 and 10/8.

We have seen/heard about a few riders crossing the "double yellow line" last week. That cannot happen again for our safety, the reputation of this ride and our relationships with motorists. There is no sprint worth risking the safety and lives of others. If it happens again, we will simply ask that you not participate in anymore Trek rides this year.

We’d like to honor and observe Diego Mora tonight on the ride by wearing a dark jersey/kit and ride with a rear blinking light to show motorists we are in unison for rider safety and awareness. Diego was hit by a car last Wednesday evening (not on the ride) and is still in critical condition He is a regular on our Wednesday night ride.

Happy 4th of July America! Get ready for the Tour de France (Le Tour) starting tomorrow with America’s Team… Lidl-Trek and their new TdF Trek Madone. 🇺🇸🚴‍♂️

We’ll see you tonight with a special guest A group ride leader. Be mindful of the heat vs. speed and intensity. Bring and drink lots of fluid. Store stop in Waxhaw. Have fun, be safe and enjoy the experience with everyone. Cheers!

Tomorrow night is the last ride for our “friend of the ride” Juan Diego Bermeo who is moving back to Colombia (SA). Celebrate with us afterwards at Hickory Tavern. Juan has been a staple with us for the last few years. Adios amigo!

We are so happy and proud of the Lidl-Trek Giro d'Italia team for capturing 6 of the 15 wins so far with Mads Pedersen's 4 wins and leader of the purple sprinters jersey. And Daan Hoole's ITT victory in stage 10. And then Carlos Verone's stage 15 solo win after losing our GC Leader, Giulio Ciccone, in the stage 14 crash. You too can ride in fashion and speed on the 2026 Treak Madone SLR 9 Gen 8.
