The Meck Mile was created to bring runners together and celebrate the joy of running. As the Charlotte Sports Foundation takes on operating the Novant Health Charlotte Marathon, our focus is shifting fully toward stewarding and one of Charlotte’s signature running events.��Thank you to every runner and volunteer who showed up and made the Meck Mile special. We can’t wait to continue celebrating this city and the running community.

Thanks to our incredible partnership with WSOC-TV, we’re proud to share that was the #3 Sporting Event on Charlotte broadcast TV the day it aired! 🏁🔥
That’s right — we rated ahead of all EPL, MLB, UFL, and IndyCar events that day. Only the two NBA playoff games had more viewers! 🚀👏
Huge shoutout to everyone who tuned in and showed love to the local running scene. This proves there’s serious momentum behind what we’re building — and it’s just getting started. 🏃💨

Thanks to our partnership with RECOVER, the 2025 Meck Mile made a major impact:
✅ 122,862 gallons of water saved
✅ 10,228 kWh of energy conserved
✅ 5,144 lbs of greenhouse gas emissions avoided
✅ 8,592 plastic bottles diverted from landfills
That’s the equivalent of saving enough energy to drive over 5,100 miles — like running from Charlotte to San Francisco and back! 🏃♀️♻️
