A: rounded back, lack of glute engagement, recruits traps and biceps ❌
B: too much elbow flexion, targeting triceps ❌
C: correct! slight hinge, neutral spine, glutes engaged, pulling with shoulder blades, targets back, lats, and core ✅
Coach tips: start with straight arms to stretch the lats, before pulling engage lats first by depressing scapula, then pull with lats and squeeze shoulder blades, keeping elbow flexion minimal and consistent throughout pull. Finish at hips with a proud chest like you’re poking it out the window of your arms. Positioning: 45° hinge with a neutral spine and glutes engaged to support.
