Mark your calendars! Our annual National Night Out celebration is happening Tuesday, October 6 from 5:30–7:30 PM, and we’re planning an evening packed with family fun! ❤️

🎨 Face Painting
🛍️ Local Vendors
🎉 Family Activities & MORE!

This is a great opportunity to get outside, meet your neighbors, support local businesses, and enjoy an evening together as a community!

As we all know, great community events take a lot of helping hands! We are still looking for volunteers to help make National Night Out a success. Whether you can help for the whole event or just a portion of the evening, we’d love to have you!

🛍️ YARD SALE UPDATE — NO DUMPSTER THIS YEAR 🛍️

A quick heads-up for everyone participating in this weekend’s WOII Neighborhood Yard Sale!

In previous years, we’ve had a dumpster available for everyone to use after the sale. Unfortunately, the City is not providing a dumpster this year. If the neighborhood wanted to have one, we would be required to rent one ourselves.

So, what should you do with those leftover items that didn’t find a new home? 👇

❤️ CONSIDER DONATING!
There are lots of local organizations, ministries, and outreach programs that gladly accept donations of usable clothing, household items, furniture, and other goods. Your leftover items could be a blessing to someone in our community rather than ending up in the trash!

🗑️ FOR EXTRA BAGS OF TRASH:
Please contact the Jeffersonville Sanitation Department to let them know you have additional bags that need to be picked up on your regular trash day.

🛋️ FOR LARGE HOUSEHOLD ITEMS/FURNITURE:
The Sanitation Department will pick up household furniture, generally on the same day as your regular garbage pickup. Items should be placed at the curb by 6:00 AM on your scheduled trash pickup day.

🔌 APPLIANCES, ELECTRONICS & METAL GOODS:
These items are picked up each Friday, except on city holidays. Please have them at the curb by 6:00 AM Friday morning.

We know the dumpster has been a convenient part of our yard sale in the past, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding as we work with the city’s current process.
