The NuCanoe Kayak Cover helps keep your kayak fresh, clean, and protected between adventures. Keep the UV off and the good times closer at hand.

With a little adaptation, you can even fit most of your gear underneath the cover.

Throw it over, winch it down, and you’re good to go!

Blank slate, with just the right amount of built in features. The UMAX is a top of the line kayak designed to be built out however you see fit!

Motor ready from day one. Drop on an EPS system, use the included GripMount plate for a bow motor, or slap on an outboard with a bracket.

Controlled Chaos Build!

Starting with a Tundra UMAX, we built this yak with the goal of adding a ton of features while keeping a clean, open deck.

Yak-Power helped make it happen, allowing us to keep all of our electronics contained in the GearPod while still having full access from the seat. Clean, functional, and ready to fish!

Build Costs:
UMAX: $2,499
Base Build (kayak + non-electronic accessories): $5,879
Electronics: Lowrance Eagle Eye 9 + Yak-Power

More details on the full build on our YT page.

We’re heading to ALASKA this week! Follow along starting Wednesday as we put the UMAX to the test.

Safety was a big part of planning this adventure, from PFDs to bear protection. The Invader Concepts guide holster pairs up perfectly with an NRS Fishing PFD and keeps an important piece of gear right where we need it.

Alaska is no place to compromise on safety. Follow along for the adventure!

NU NATIONAL Team member and photographer Tyler Bean made the trip up to Black Hall Marina to chase Striper and document the adventure!

Long days on the water, plenty of laughs, and a few hard earned fish made for one hell of a trip. The kind of adventure that makes every hour on the water worth it.

If you’re in the area, check out Black Hall Marina for all your NuCanoe needs!

At NuCanoe, you start with a quality blank slate and build your dream rig on top of it.

What would you rig yours with?

A few months back, we hit the salt in the Pacific Northwest to chase Lingcod. For most of the crew, it was their first time targeting these dragons from a kayak.

The UMAX quickly proved why stability matters when you’re hooked into a big fish. Its wide, rock solid platform kept us in control so we could focus on the fight instead of fighting the kayak.

At 13’6” long and 41” wide, the UMAX is built to handle whatever the salt throws at you.

When stability matters, the UMAX delivers.
