To our friends and colleagues at The Bicycle Shoppe on 280 Meeting Street, we at Charleston Bicycle Company want to send our warmest well wishes as you close this chapter.
For decades, the Meeting Street location has been a cornerstone of the local cycling community. The history of your shop is deeply woven into the fabric of Charleston. Seeing a classic brick and mortar institution close its doors reminds us all of the profound impact local shops have on a city. Brick and mortar stores are more than just places to buy gear. They are gathering hubs, service centers, and the starting lines for countless weekend rides and lifelong friendships.
Navigating the changing landscape of retail and local development is incredibly challenging. As a shop that has been striving and serving this community for over 50 years ourselves, we understand the immense dedication it takes to keep the pedals turning.
We commend your years of service to the Charleston cycling family. We will always cherish the shared history we have as fellow local businesses. We wish you all the absolute best in whatever comes next.

Summer Cruising in the Holy City ☀️🌴
Summer is in full swing and there is no better way to explore Charleston than on a Priority Bicycle! Whether you are riding down to the Battery or grabbing coffee downtown, these bikes are perfectly designed for our beautiful coastal lifestyle.
Notice anything missing in the photos? Priority Bicycles feature a brilliant rust free belt drive instead of a traditional metal chain. That means no messy grease on your clothes and absolutely no rust from the salty sea breeze. You get a smooth and whisper quiet ride every single time you hit the pavement.
From beautiful white step through models equipped with classic woven baskets to sleek green diamond frames, we have the perfect ride waiting for you. The comfortable saddles and upright riding positions make exploring our streets an absolute breeze.
Swing by Charleston Bicycle Company today to take one for a test spin and make this your best summer yet! 🚲✨
