Do you want to know whats powerful to experience as a sports parent??

It’s when you witness your athlete overcome the adversity that can come with their sport.

When you walk beside them through a struggle with confidence and comparison ... and then get to see them dig in to do the work within themselves before going out there with more self-belief than they've ever had.

When you see them fight through the anger and anguish and sadness and frustration of having to step back from the sport because of an injury... and then get to see the joy in their face when they come back even stronger and with more appreciation for the chance to be out there.

When you watch them navigate the experience of getting cut - or moving down on the roster - or starting to lose some playing time ... only to see them decide to use that as fuel to make themselves better or to have the courage to talk with their coach about what where they need to grow.

So often, when adversity comes, we as parents want to fix it.
(Ask me how I know).

It's hard to watch them navigate it.
And we don't want them to hurt.

But when you have the experience of seeing your athlete figure out how to overcome it on their own, there is really something powerful about watching them discover themselves on the other side...

.. and realizing that the best thing you can do in moments like these is simply be the steady in their storm along the way.

Because long after this season of their lives ends… and long after the wins and losses are a blur...

What will be clear is the belief they built in themselves when things were hard.

.. and a belief they’ll carry into every challenge that comes next.
