Weâre excited to officially recognize and celebrate Coach Lexy Welker as part of our Basha Volleyball staff! Welcome back!
Lexy is Arizona through and throughâborn and raised in Gilbert and a graduate of Perry High School, where her love for the game continued to grow. Volleyball has been a constant in her life, shaping not only her experience as an athlete but her passion for coaching and developing others.
She brings five years of club coaching experience with Omni Volleyball Club and is entering her third season with us at Basha, continuing to play an important role on our varsity staff. Her familiarity with our program and commitment to our athletes make her an invaluable part of what weâre building.
Coach Lexyâs approach is centered around instilling confidence in every athlete while creating an environment thatâs high-energy, competitive, and fun. She believes players perform at their best when they feel empowered, supported, and excited to step on the courtâand that shows in the way she connects with her teams.
Weâre lucky to have her continue pouring into our athletes and helping shape the culture of Basha Volleyball. Her impact goes far beyond the game, and weâre excited for whatâs ahead with her on staff.

Welcome Coach Noah!
Volleyball has been a lifelong love for Coach Noah. She first discovered her passion for the game in high school, where she earned all-county honors and the opportunity to continue playing at Elgin Community College. There, she competed as a middle, earned All-Tournament and All-Region recognition, and helped lead her team to a 5th-place finish at NJCAA Nationals. She went on to play at Southwest Baptist University on a full scholarship, where she was consistently among the team leaders in kills.
Over the years, Coach Noah has shared her love of the game by coaching both club and high school volleyball in Illinois and Arizona, including time at Higley High School. After stepping away to raise her two daughtersâwho have also developed a passion for volleyballâshe returned to the court at Poston Butte High School, where she spent nine seasons mentoring and developing athletes.
Now, sheâs truly excited to be part of Bashaâs program, where she looks forward to helping players grow not only in their skills, but also in their confidence, teamwork, and love for the game.
Excited to have you as a Bear!

Weâre fired up to officially welcome Coach JoJo as a Basha Bear Assistant Coach for JV and Freshmen.
Coach JoJo brings a rare ability to truly connect with her athletesâdeveloping not just their skill set, but their mindset. With coaching experience that includes AZ Clubprep (2021), AZ Strike 16N1 (2022âCurrent), and Maverick Volleyball Academy 16s (2025âCurrent), she has built a reputation for intentional training, mental toughness, and creating a competitive, high-accountability culture. Entering her fifth year as a Head Coach, she is known for holding athletes to a high standard while still creating a space where they feel supported, challenged, and empowered to grow.
Her background as a defensive player from middle school through high school continues to shape her coaching todayâtranslating into strong defensive systems, relentless effort, and a deep emphasis on discipline, communication, and reading the game. That defensive mindset is reflected in both her coaching style and the athletes she develops.
She challenges athletes to think the game at a higher level, elevate their volleyball IQ, and perform with confidence under pressure. Coach JoJo is passionate about building not just talented teams, but the right teamsâwhere character, accountability, and shared goals come first. More than anything, she inspires players to play with heart, compete with purpose, and embrace growth on and off the court.
Welcome to the family, Coach JoJo đ»đ

Weâre excited to officially welcome Janie to the Basha Volleyball family.
Janie brings over 24 years of coaching experience and a deep-rooted passion for the game. Volleyball is part of her DNAâshe grew up in a volleyball-centered family, with her mother competing in the first NCAA volleyball tournament alongside legendary coaches like Russ Rose and Jim Coleman. That foundation helped shape her understanding of the game at the highest level from an early age.
Originally from Illinois, Janie competed for Sports Performance, one of the premier club programs in the country, before continuing her playing career at the collegiate level. Her transition into coaching started early, beginning in her junior year of college, and she quickly grew into leadership rolesâeventually serving as an Assistant Youth Director and Graphic Designer for her club.
Since relocating to Arizona in 2014, Janie has made a significant impact across the club and high school scene, coaching with Spiral Volleyball, EVJ, Arizona Storm, and Club One where she currently coaches. Most recently, she spent the past five years as the Head Varsity Coach at Gilbert Classical Academy, where she built and strengthened the program in her time there. Â
Janieâs experience, leadership, and commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the court align perfectly with the vision we are building at Basha. Weâre confident she will make an immediate and lasting impact on our athletes and our program. She will also be teaching visual arts at Basha! We are excited to have her on board.Â
Welcome to Basha, Janie.
