Post up for the memories. I finally have the 2004 RM125 dialed. It’s a fun bike to ride, it takes a ton of shifting and some clutch abuse to go fast at my size. 😂 I’m happy to see my son Maks back on the bike. I used Ai to change the bike number to 37 for him, and used Ai to help with the photo edits as these are all screen shots of videos while riding July 4, 2026. Special thanks to my 28 weeks pregnant wife Jen for taking the videos.

One of the greatest forms of self-control isn’t controlling our actions—it’s controlling our thoughts.
I’ve noticed this in my own life and in my children. When a mistake is pointed out, our minds naturally race to find someone or something to blame. We think about the person who distracted us, the circumstance that made things difficult, or the situation that wasn’t fair. Almost instantly, we’re looking outward instead of inward.
But growth begins when we pause long enough to ask a different question:
“What could I have done differently?”
The reality is that we can’t control what other people do, what happens to us, or the challenges we face. We can only control our response.
Self-control means catching ourselves when old habits surface. It means recognizing familiar patterns of blame, excuses, defensiveness, or victim thinking and choosing a different path. It means taking ownership, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Accountability is where maturity begins. The moment we stop focusing on who or what caused the problem and start focusing on how we responded to it, we gain the power to change.
As followers of Christ, we’re called to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, not controlled by our emotions or old patterns. Every day presents another opportunity to practice self-control, take responsibility, and become a little more like the person God created us to be.
Growth starts the moment excuses end.
So many ways to do a drop, efficiency and smoothness is what I teach. Let me know if you see the difference?
We covered drops today. Focus on making it smooth as possible, with quiet tires on the drop. This technique is key for speed and bike preservation in an enduro stage.
Some laps on High Ridge this morning. One of the best trails in my opinion to work on a variety of skills. What’s your goto trail????
