Last tournament of the year didn't go the way we hoped on the field, but there were great moments and lots of memories made 💙Shout out to Cam for two long balls on the weekend and Braden I. who added another HR ball to his collection as well. Thank you to our coaches, sponsors, parents, and our entire Lightning family for another incredible season. These boys and their families are a special group and we can't wait to see what the future holds. ⚡⚾⚡

As we move up to 15U, Champaign Lightning is holding our first-ever tryouts to add a couple of competitive athletes to our roster.
We are looking for players who compete hard, bring a great attitude, and value being part of a team. At Lightning, effort and accountability are the true fundamentals of the game. Finding the right fit with our players and families is just as important as talent.

Lightning is a family. We plan to play a competitive tournament schedule that complements the high school baseball season.

So excited to be back on the field! ⚾️ Nice win tonight led by an incredible outing by Willis on the mound with Joe P. coming in strong for the close. Bats got hot and the highlight was Cam going deep for the first time this season. Let’s go Lightning! ⚡️

Champaign Lightning wraps up the season as 13u champs of the GMB American Blue Alpha Dawg Championships! What a way to finish - undefeated in the final month and ending on a high note with an incredible weekend in Ellisville. What meant the most though were the compliments from opposing coaches, families, and umpires about the Lightning’s sportsmanship - a true reflection of the character and work ethic their coach has worked so hard to instill in them. A huge thanks to our amazing coaches, teammates, and families who made this season so special. We are also very grateful for all the support from our extended circle of family and friends. What a ride! ⚡💙

Champaign Lightning are champions of the Sangamon Valley League Tournament! Proud not just of the win, but of how they did it… playing together as a team with an incredible run down the stretch. Every player made significant contributions and cheered each other on like champs do. Huge thanks to our amazing coaches and families. Looking forward to one more tournament in MO to finish off the year. Keep it going boys. ⚡💙
