Everyone who knew Melanie (Mel) would agree that she was vivacious, sassy, strong (in every sense of the word), had a great sense of humor and an ability to see people just how they needed to be seen. 💕

On October 13th, 2021 (a few weeks after this photo of me, Melissa, and Mel was taken) Mel received word that her breast cancer was back. She began her dance in Heaven September 13th, 2022. 🪽

Mel was a choreographer for SHiNE Dance Fitness and her legacy lives on every time we dance to her jazzy, sassy, butt-kicking, heart-filled choreography. From tonight through October 13th we're going to MOVE FOR MEL to her routines in class on Thursday nights at the Chambersburg YMCA Nitterhouse Center.

🎉SURPRISE! WE GET TO UPLIFT SATURDAY!💪

This Saturday morning 9/19 I'll be subbing for Marianne's Muscle Pump class 10:15-11:15AM at the Chambersburg YMCA Nitterhouse Center.

All equipment is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own mat and resistance bands.

New to strength training? I invite you to come try UPLIFT without weights or with light weights to get a feel for the vibe of class.

Melissa has a super fun National Dance Day SHiNE class planned right before at 9:00, so join us for a fun-packed double!

No UPLIFT tonight, but we get a bonus class this Saturday morning after SHiNE! 💪 (I am subbing for Marianne's Muscle Pump class.)

Wednesday night, we're expecting a visit from an UPLIFT student from Kentucky. 🩵

From 9:00-10:00 we'll be dancing (and vibing🔥) to hot hit music and choreography with Melissa. Then from 10:15-11:15 we'll be lifting and resistance training (and singing along🎤) to iconic throwbacks with me.

🩵 July 6th: We launch our new UPLIFT class at Chambersburg Fitness Center! Join us this month as we walk through all the need to know info. This will be a great time to join in on the fun if you're new to strength training. 💪

🩵 July 7th: Marianne will be visiting her grandkids, so we'll be UPLIFTing instead of Muscle Pump.

🩷July 9th and 25th: SHiNE at the YMCA will be with Melissa. Thanks, Melissa !

✨️ July 14th: I'll be subbing SHiNE Light - the same SHiNE choreography we know and love taught at a more gentle and joint friendly impact level.

🩵🩷 July 15th and 29th: Kelsey is out these days. Instead of Latin Dance, we get 2 extra SHiNE classes directly after our weekly UPLIFT classes.

UPLIFT Strength Fitness pairs iconic music and hype energy with full-body training using resistance bands, dumbbells up to 15lbs, balance work, a mini ball, and mat-based work to help you build strength in a way that feels empowering and approachable.
