Eight exceptional athletes participated in the state Special Olympics Swim meet yesterday at UNO. They brought home TWENTY ONE medals including 3rd place their first year competing in relay! 🎉

Medal totals:
10 - 1st place 🥇
7- 2nd place 🥈
4- 3rd place 🥉

Thank you to Jamie and Buccaneer Villa Swim Club for opening their pool to our athletes each week. 👏

Yesterday was a beautiful day for so many 🫶
Valero Benefit for Children gifted $350,000 in grants to non-profit organizations throughout St.Bernard Parish. Exceptional Athletes of St.Bernard was blessed with an amazing $20,000 to futher our growth and to support the amazing adult Special Olympic athletes of St.Bernard. To say we are overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation is an understatement. Thank you again to Valero for your continued support and generosity!

HUGE shout out to The Meraux Foundation for hosting this beautiful event. We are so blessed to have you here in St.Bernard.

Five of our athletes volunteered today at the special needs camp held at Arlene Meraux Elementary School. The athletes helped the campers with playing games, and they were able to cheer the campers on during the talent show!

Thank you to St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce for inviting us to the Leadership St. Bernard class this morning! We were able to spread the word about Exceptional Athletes and brag on all of their accomplishments from this past weekend at Special Olympics Louisiana! 🥇

The Special Olympics 2025 State Summer Games were held this past weekend at Southeasten Louisiana University and boy did our athletes show up & SHOW OUT!!

The 11 athletes representing the Exceptional Athletes of St. Bernard earned 20 medals between them!!! We could not be more proud and congratulation each and every one for their amazing performances ❤️

Come on out and cheer on our St.Bernard athletes as they qualify to compete for this years Adult Special Olympics!!

The qualifying meet will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm on Field 1 of the Val Reiss Sports Complex. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
