Just a reminder that the Pima Pistol Club Swap Meet is happening this Saturday, August 29th!

Setup begins at 7:00 AM
Swap Meet starts at 8:00 AM

Tables are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you're able to bring your own table, it would be greatly appreciated.

There will be no BBQ at this swap meet, but don't worry—we're planning to have one at our next Swap Meet in November!

Come out, bring some items to sell or trade, see what everyone else has, and spend the morning with fellow PPC members.

Morning everyone. Just a heads up that the range received a very large amount of rain overnight. The roads coming in are drivable but use caution. Most of the private ranges have some amount of standing water. Several are completely unusable at the moment. You're more than welcome to come out today though. Depending on the traffic we receive, it may be a short day!

Another weekend of competition is coming up at Pima Pistol Club!

This weekend features both IDPA and Steel Challenge, offering two great opportunities to sharpen your shooting skills. Whether you enjoy defensive-style stages or the speed and precision of ringing steel, there's a match for you.

Come out, get some quality trigger time, and spend the weekend with the PPC competition community.

We're also looking for a new IDPA Match Director. If you're passionate about IDPA and interested in helping lead and grow the program, we'd love to hear from you. Match Directors play a key role in planning stages, running safe and enjoyable matches, and building the local shooting community. Being able to shoot accurately while moving is a valuable skill for both competitive and practical shooting.

The key isn't moving fast—it's moving efficiently.

Focus on:
• Keeping your upper body stable
• Smooth, controlled footwork
• Letting your eyes lead the movement
• Maintaining a consistent sight picture

Many shooters try to outrun their ability. Instead, start slow, build consistency, and increase speed as your accuracy allows.

Remember: smooth movement produces better hits than rushed movement.
