Packed house last night, we were able to talk about some of the good and the bad from this weekend with our HS guys at the TOC and our youth kids at UCD and what WE need to do to elevate our wrestling to the next level. Still a few big preseason tournaments to get ready for before it’s show time but man I’m excited for the season to start!

We took 4 guys to the inaugural NC United TOC and brought home 3 placers. With newcomer Braylen Yates and Jacob Campos placing 3rd and mister dependable Jake “the snake” Amiott finishing as a runner up. I can’t express enough how proud I am of all of our guys for putting it on the line and wrestling with passion and fight the entire tournament! Shout out to NC United for putting on a fantastic event!

Had my guy UNCP alum, NCAA All American, the NCAA’s most dominant wrestler in 2024 (in all divisions) and current assistant coach drop in to show some of his FHL tricks! We’re extremely blessed to have so many amazing coaches/athletes and friends willing to come in and kick some knowledge to our wrestlers! I constantly tell our kids, if you want to do great things in this sport surround yourself with people who have done it as well as with genuinely good people! I wonder who we’ll have in next?!?! In the meantime we’ll add this to the Sly 🦊 system of wrestling and it’s back to the Willie Earl show!!!

For most of our kids we’re just training getting ready for the Folkstyle season, on the other hand is overseas getting his freestyle on still! The goal for next year is to make the trip as a member of the U17 🇺🇸 team! He got a nice win over the Turkey’s U17 national champ today! As always we still have work to do to achieve our goals but we continue to show not just our, county, state or nation but the 🌎 what we’re doing in the 🦊 🕳️!!!

Great private lessons this morning with some really motivated kids! Being on the mat with kids that truly love wrestling and want to be there is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding things for me! I could be in the wrestling room all day with kids like that!
