One day away! Season opener is right around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited.
2026 season availability is closed pending a December deposit.
Currently waitlisting for 2027. Those bookings will open in spring, typically around March. Early season dates tend to fill right away so if you’re thinking a trip might be in the cards, now’s the time to get on the waitlist. I’ll fill a few more spots on the 2027 list but anticipate closing it out before the end of the year and starting a waitlist for 2028.
No deposit required for the waitlist. If you’re interested, fill out the form on our website at the link in our bio!

Honestly, the coolest bird

National Dog Day 🐾
The entire reason we do what we do. They aren’t just working dogs to us, they are our family. Growing up alongside our children, sleeping in laps, digging holes in the yard, and occasionally destroying a stuffy they stole off someone’s bed…which might be why they have to tolerate the occasional dress up day 😂.
We aren’t a big time operation with a kennel full of dogs who never see the inside of a home. When you step into the field with us you hunt behind our hearts and souls.
These guys deserve all the credit.

Perfection 👌🏼
Sunday’s largest covey count was 58! There’s nothing quite like standing in the midst of a covey of B52’s as they take to the sky.
Crazy how well these guys can blend in.

Sneaky little runners.
Name of the game during early season heat.

Friday field finds! Not as big as Mitch’s last week but finally on the board for elk sheds 😆.
Super productive day scouting. Regardless of the heat and dry conditions covey size is looking promising. Sage grouse, huns, and chukars are all looking great in our backcountry areas. E-scouting will only get you half the picture this year. Many water sources are dry. Burning boot leather is the only sure fire way to find productive habitat right now.
Friday family dinner is calling our name so check back in over the weekend for more wild bird footage!

Friday field day!
Checked a new spot, habitat was too dry to produce much but we did find this MONSTER. Biggest elk shed we’ve ever found. Still brown on the back side so likely last years. 8 year old for size reference 😂. If this guy is still alive he’s a giant! Just one of the upsides of wild bird hunting in wild places, if you find one you get to keep it!
