Well.
This was a newly bedded stall with a freshly scrubbed tank, filled with the cleanest water…. Now it’s a mud puddle in one of my stalls 🤦🏻♀️
Just when I thought the chores were done, I went in to feed and saw this. I must say, I have the BEST barn family. Katrina and Olive both jumped in to help me finish emptying the tank, clean the stall and replace the tank.
What seemed like a daunting task, took only a few minutes with these girls’s help. ❤️

You can deeply care about a person, but remain entirely unattached to their validation. It allows you to listen to feedback without spiraling into a trauma response or a defensive counter-attack.

Being the awards sponsor for the PRCA in Casper was a huge honor and an unforgettable experience! There’s nothing quite like going behind the scenes and standing alongside world-class athletes. The caliber of people in this sport is truly incredible—they are insanely tough, yet fiercely supportive, kind, and gracious. Feeling incredibly inspired by this amazing community!
After years of being around the rodeo and seeing them, I was finally brave enough to ask my two favorite rodeo athletes for a picture ❤️
Cody Webster and Dusty Tuckness
Congratulations to all the competitors and to all the champions!

With the weather heating up, I thought I’d share this graphic I came across.
I full heartedly believe this is screwed a bit and in the wrong direction. A heat index (air temp plus humidity) over 150 and I will not ride unless absolutely necessary. Horses get much hotter than we do, and much quicker. It is not worth the risk of heat stroke/exhaustion for my horse. And I have seen horses collapse from heat…. It’s very scary and dangerous if you are on or around them.
As a reminder for lesson students, temperatures over 95 results in a canceled lesson. Over 90 is a lot more walking in a lesson. Our horses and students health and safety is our top priority.
Stay safe out there ☀️
