A Gentle Space for Grief & Healing
Led by Rachel Manetti

This 4-class series is for those with tender hearts who are grieving the death of a dear person. Each class will offer gentle movement and kind attention to the breath, creating space to slow down, connect, and care for yourself through the grieving process.

We’ll move between simple poses in seated position, hands and knees, standing, and lying down. Variations will be offered to meet students’ needs. Each session will close with a guided meditation for the heart and time for rest.

This series is offered as part of Transition LifeCare hospice’s bereavement services at no fee.

Rachel Manetti is a Certified Yoga Therapist.

Please note that this is a series and registration is limited. Investment in all 4 classes is requested.

Registration required. Please call 919.719.7199 to register.

Class 1: 10/2, 1:30–2:30 PM — Feeling the Ground
Class 2: 10/9, 1:30–2:30 PM — Remembering to Breathe
Class 3: 10/16, 1:30–2:30 PM — Exploring Connections
Class 4: 10/23, 1:30–2:20 PM — Resting in Love

🧠 Brain Health Edu & Yoga Session 🧘

Did you know that age isn't the only risk factor for brain health? While some factors are out of our hands, many others are within our control — and small changes can make a big difference, even for those with a family history of dementia.

Join us for a special afternoon supporting Alzheimer's awareness and brain health! We'll start with an educational talk from Rick Hobson of the Alzheimer's Association, followed by a gentle yoga practice with Laura focused on movement, breathwork, and meditation for brain health.

By the end of this session, you'll be able to:

✅ Explain why brain health matters now and throughout your life
✅ Recognize everyday actions that help protect your brain
✅ Build a personal plan for brain-healthy habits

Come learn, move, and breathe with us — your brain will thank you! 💛

Cary Yoga Collective wouldn't be the same without our incredible community of students. Your energy and presence in class truly shape the feeling of our space — and we want to celebrate that.

This month we are excited to be celebrating Lindsay Londono who attended 15 classes at C*C in August!

We're celebrating Lindsay, whose consistent presence and love for her practice truly stand out.

Lindsay shared; "Cary Yoga Collective has become a true sanctuary for me - a place to move my body, release stress, and feed my mind. I deeply appreciate how the instructors teach not just the postures, but the thoughtful foundation behind building them. I love arriving to the rich, soothing sounds of the harmonium and learning about the origins of the practice. Hearing the traditional stories of Hanuman and Parvati always leaves me with a sense of wonder and curiosity!"

We're so grateful to have you as part of this community, Lindsa

✨ New Cover Spotlight — Kara! ✨

Kara began her yoga journey in 2006, initially as a way to manage back pain. She soon discovered that yoga offered so much more—a sense of strength, grounding, and overall well-being. Over the years, her practice has deepened her appreciation for the mind-body connection, breathwork, and intentional movement.

Inspired to share the benefits of yoga with others, Kara completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in May 2026 with Loretta Jo Schlatzer through Yoga-Mojo. Her goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where students feel supported and at ease.
Kara lives in Cary with her husband and two daughters. 💙🧘‍♀️

We’re so happy to have Kara as part of the C*C family!

Yoga is more than movement.

Many of us first discover yoga through the physical practice: poses, stretching, strength and flexibility. But there is so much more to explore.

On September 27, join Anna Kurmanova and Loretta Jo Schlatzer for a two-hour 5D Yoga workshop exploring movement, breath, meditation, philosophy, mantra and the senses.

You don’t need to be flexible or experienced in yoga. Come as you are, try different practices, and discover what resonates with you.

5D YOGA: From Movement to Mantra & 5 Senses

Sunday, September 27
2:00–4:00 PM

Anna will guide the 5D Yoga practice, with Loretta Jo leading the mantra portion of the workshop.
