Most curriculum gets written, filmed, and shipped in the same week.
Tuesday's session ran 73 minutes, and Master Carlos Machado spent a good part of it explaining why his does not work that way.

He is already working the material members will not see for another two months. He takes it to his black belts, tells them not to let him do it, and rewrites whatever breaks. The version that finally goes on camera is the one that survived.

He calls the principle the 22 bazooka theory. Do not fire the small caliber first and save the bazooka for later. Lead with your most powerful version.

A white belt signs up Monday. What are you teaching him for the next thirty weeks?

Most academies answer that week to week, off the top of the head. The white belt feels it before he can name it.

The association's Fundamentals program is now live for members. Thirty weeks, three lessons a week, ninety lessons in total, re-filmed start to finish. Every week names the position to drill, so the round at the end of class has a point.

The paperwork comes with it. A curriculum outline, a testing sheet that grades all 135 techniques toward blue belt, a ninety slide deck for the wall, and a handout for your students that carries your logo and your pricing. All of it editable, all of it yours to print.

The man who won UFC 1, 2 and 4, teaching the material that made it possible, in a hotel ballroom in Carrollton, Texas.

He is on the same Saturday as Professor Jeff Glover on deep half guard and Professor Brandon McCaghren on triangles. Saturday is the heaviest day of the weekend and it closes with the ranking ceremony.

The full weekend is $199.99 until August 31. On September 1 it becomes $299.99.

Rank evaluations run five windows across Thursday and Friday of the Summit. Thursday afternoon, Thursday evening, Friday morning, Friday midday, Friday night.

Saturday at seven the room sits down for the Ranking and Award Ceremony, and the promotions are handed out in front of everyone who watched you earn them.

Testing is $100 for a professor evaluation or a black belt, and $75 for every other belt.

The ceremony requires a white CMJJ patched uniform. If you do not own one, that is an August problem. It stops being solvable in October.

Evaluation is not a formality and not a guarantee. You are assessed by the association against the standard.

Youth is capped at fifty for the weekend. That number does not move.
