A massive congratulations to Mike Egan for showing us once again that he’s able to go the distance and be a competitor in the backyard race. Mike battled on a challenging course and pushed through a tough night, but came out of it completing 30 loops (125mi) at rappid Last Soul Ultra
Only crossing the start line with 20 seconds before loop 31 began, we had no doubt that Mike would ride again. He timed out on loop 31, finishing out the loop with a smile on his face.
Mike broke his own Omni Backyard record, now sitting at 30 completed loops.
Shout out to Austin who joined the crew for the week, we couldn’t have done it without your help.

Two people can walk into the exact same room and see completely different things.
Give two writers the same idea and they’ll tell two different stories.
The information might be the same, but their experiences, perspective, and the way they interpret what they see changes the story.
Coaching works the same way.
Most coaches have access to the same exercises, research, technology, and training methods.
So what actually creates the difference?
In this episode of Omni Conversations, George and Sam explore why the real differential often comes from how we see, interpret, and apply the details.
The conversation moves through CrossFit, HYROX, ultra running, tactical performance, weightlifting, and youth sports, examining the small pieces that shape development: movement efficiency, transitions, environmental exposure, mental performance, decision-making, and the ability to execute fundamentals under pressure.
And that leads to the bigger question:
Are we spending too much time searching for the next 1% when the real opportunity is getting better at the fundamentals we already know matter?
Development isn’t built by constantly adding complexity. It comes from identifying the small things that matter, practicing them with intention, and allowing those improvements to compound.
The Differential Is in the Details.

Most people only look at the workout.
But the workout is only one piece of the system.
Your sleep, nutrition, stress, recovery, habits, and environment all influence how you train, adapt, and perform.
The body doesn’t separate stress into categories. It all adds up.
That’s why we built the Omni Life System — to look at the person behind the performance.
Not perfection.
Awareness.
Ownership.
Action.

One day, all of this ends.
The arguments. The need to be right. The obsession with what other people think, feel, believe, or choose to do.
You can spend your whole life trying to control people who were never yours to control while ignoring the one person you are responsible for: yourself.
Your thoughts.
Your reactions.
Your habits.
Your character.
Your relationship with a higher power.
That is where the real work is.
We will all return to dust and meet our Maker. When that day comes, you will not answer for everyone else’s behavior. You will answer for how you lived, what you carried, what you avoided, and who you became.
Stop wasting your life trying to manage the world around you.
Start to manage the world inside of you.

Most people think they’re stuck because they need a better training plan.
Usually, they need a better system.
Your body doesn’t care where stress comes from.
Poor sleep.
Long work days.
Family responsibilities.
Nutrition.
Training.
It all adds up.
That’s why the Omni Life System exists. We want to help you look at the life behind your performance.
Here’s today’s reflection:
What’s ONE thing in your life that’s making training harder than it needs to be?
Drop it in the comments. No judgment. Just awareness and ownership.
