Summer things☀️ seasonal and lighter meals, creative urges satisfied through bread baking, matcha lattes on repeat, time to be silly, the golden retriever credit card (no credit limit😂) Not pictured insane amount of driving to and from gymnastics, and an insane amount of working out✔️✔️

I typically eat between 10-11AM. Intermittent fasting works very well for me. At my first meal I try to prioritize protein (1-2 eggs), a healthy fat, a clean carb, an antioxidant powerhouse component from berries, kiwi, or microgreens, sometimes a bit of yogurt or kefir, fiber (psyllium husk). I also drink matcha over coffee to keep my cortisol down and jitters at bay.

SAVE for inspo this week!!! Especially if looking for kid friendly, protein forward, minimal grains, filling, delicious + EASY meals!! These are literally five of my faves in our current dinner rotation.

1. The chicken parm… make sure you buy thin sliced breasts or cutlets… gluten free breadcrumbs… 1 egg, (flour, dip in egg, coat in breadcrumbs)
6 min in airfryer, flip add sauce/cheese 3-4 more minutes

2. Soyaki glazed Salmon. Soyaki + cast iron pan👌

3. Crockpot meatballs… use any jarred sauce (I usually mix two kinds), add fresh garlic & basil, bonus points if you use frozen ancestral blend organ meatballs. My fave!! So good👌

4. Gingery Cabbage rolls by Sue Li.
5. Smash burgers made right onto a tortilla and seared in cast iron… add any flavors you like + veggies.

Yoga has a quiet way of expanding our idea of what’s possible. The poses that once felt out of reach slowly become familiar, not because we chase them, but because we keep showing up.

And then one day, what once felt impossible…. simply happens. As a runner for so many decades I thought I’m happy to be just be comfortable in pigeon pose, never imagining I’d increase my depth here.

The mat has a beautiful way of reflecting life. Every breakthrough in our practice becomes evidence that growth is rarely instant, but it is always possible.

This moment is me practicing Raja Kapotasana with my teacher, I promise you I never would have imagined this was available to me, even going back just a few years! You just never know!!!

The practice keeps reminding me:
Dream bigger.
Stay curious.
Trust the process.

The mat is only a mirror for how we move through life. ✨

Summer is officially underway☀️🌊 colorful, warm, refreshing, restful , but also energizing these summer months just hit different. My favorite time of year!
From the coast, to farmers markets. time spent gardening, many trips to Olive’s new gym for practice, creating sourdough recipes… we are soaking up the season.

Happy Father’s Day! We love you! He’s the one who always says yes to playing endless rounds of uno, 2 square, and is a regular gymnastics student in our backyard. Lately he’s even agreed to nail filing appts. in Olive’s home nail salon. We are so lucky he is our’s and Olive is the luckiest he is her Daddy.
