The San Diego Sabers belong to the Pacific Division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), which operates in 24 of the 50 United States. The league is currently the largest amateur ice hockey league in the United States. The USPHL has more than 600 teams with athletes in the USPHL Premier who are 16 to 21 years of age. 🏠 HELP US FIND A HOME FOR A SABER 🏒

Behind every Saber is a supportive family who helps make San Diego feel like home.

The San Diego Sabers are currently looking for welcoming billet families in the Carlsbad and greater San Diego area for the 2026–27 season.

Our players, ages 17–20, relocate from across North America and Europe to pursue their hockey and educational goals. While they dedicate themselves to the game, they need a safe, supportive place to call home throughout the season.

A billet family provides more than a furnished bedroom. You offer stability, encouragement and a sense of belonging during an important chapter of a young athlete’s life.

Billet families receive:
• A monthly stipend to help offset household expenses
• Season tickets to all Sabers home games
• Support from the Sabers organization throughout the season
• The opportunity to build a meaningful relationship that can last long after the final game

Players are expected to respect team rules and each host family’s household expectations.
