The primary beneficiary of the Tour de Milk ride is the Carlinville Area Food Pantry. The Pantry is located in Carlinville Plaza. The Food Pantry supports those in need of food who reside in the Carlinville School District. You might be surprised to know that help was for over nearly 10,000 individuals from 600+ different families. 37% of that total are children. Last year the Pantry was served by over 100 individuals donating in excess of 2,300 hours of their time to operate the pantry. 75% of the proceeds from the Tour de Milk will be donated to support the Pantry's mission. We’ve made a small change to the Tour de Milk routes. No changes to the distances — we just needed to make a slight adjustment to avoid an area where some fresh gravel was poured.

If you’ve already downloaded the routes, be sure to grab the updated versions before Saturday. They are available on the registration page and at the same URLs as the previous versions.

So... 5 days, 9 hours to go..... here is the State of the 2026 Tour de Milk. Forecast - Partly Cloudy with a high of 74 degrees! Attendance - we are on track for record attendance. Routes - we had to make some minor changes and will publish them tomorrow - this was necessary to avoid some new gravel - do not be surprised if you encounter some new chip n seal along the route. John Norris and Glenn Tofte have worked really hard to make sure we have a good route. This year’s Tour de Milk tee came out terrific, and we’ve got to give a big shoutout to our friends at The Cubby Hole for making it happen once again. They always knock these out of the park!

And with the Route 66 Centennial theme, we think this one is pretty special.

The 2026 Capital City Century routes are ready! Before ride day, download your mileage route(s) in Ride with GPS.

🚴 THREE WAYS TO NAVIGATE YOUR CCC RIDE

We’ve created three Ride with GPS options so you can choose what works best for you:

OPTION 1: ONE CONTINUOUS ROUTE 📱
Best for riders who are comfortable using Ride with GPS as their primary navigation and know the distance they plan to ride.

Download ONE file for your distance:
20 | 44 | 66 | 100 miles

Hit start and Ride with GPS will guide you through your entire ride from Sherman and back. 20 mile riders will have a mini aid station at mile 6.4, The 44, 66 and 100 mile riders will be passing through the Elkhart aid station several times during your ride to rehydrate and refuel.

OPTION 2: INDIVIDUAL LOOPS 🔄
Best for riders who want more flexibility during the ride.

Download the Start, individual mileage loops and appropriate Finish route. This allows you to decide as you go how many loops you want to complete.

Planning 66 but realize after the Green Start + Blue Loop 1 that you’ve had enough? No problem. Skip the yellow loop, pick up the 44/66 green finish route and head back to Sherman.

This option lets you adjust your mileage based on how you’re feeling that day.

OPTION 3: NO RIDE WITH GPS
Don't worry - we have you covered there too. Each loop will be marked both with upright signs and road markings.

🟢 No matter which option you choose, everyone starts on GREEN and the colored road markings will help guide you along the way.

⚠️ WAIT TO DOWNLOAD! We strongly recommend downloading your routes the day before the CCC. Our route crew will be checking for gravel, construction, road closures and other issues that may require last-minute route changes.

Choose your distance—or choose your adventure. We’ll get you back to Sherman. 🚴

And keep an eye out for the Route 66 Points of Interest we’ve added along the way. 🛣️📸

As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66, riders of the 33 and 66-mile courses will get to experience a little piece of that history firsthand. A section of this year’s route follows part of the original 1926 Route 66 alignment between Girard and Nilwood!

The Mother Road was built for adventure, and we hope this year’s Tour de Milk gives you plenty of it! 🛞🇺🇸
