Well, I have this to announce:
I've given up on opening another store. Dianna and I have spent the entire last FOUR years finding ideal locations. We've tried renting, leasing, buying land and building from scratch, and buying existing buildings. We've been told no so many times that we are both disheartened and disgusted. We never imagined that it would be this hard to put up another little gun store FULL of neat old guns, collectible modern guns, and knives and switchblades and coins and Indian jewelry and baskets and gun leather and other cool stuff.
I even had this vision of it being like a frontier Sheriff's office with squeaky wooden floor and iron jail cells and a wood stove. But, I guess it isn't meant to be. We've made runs at 14 different properties and exhausted all feasible locations that fit my requirements.
So, I have decided to retire and sell all of my inventory, a good portion of my collection and library, and all of my store and solid walnut gun fixtures. I've made a deal with Ron Brewer Auction House to sell it all. I estimate that it's going to take 5-8 YEARS of auctions to get to the end.
My second auction just went live last night, with 300 lots of my guns and knives and a load of antiques from my antique mall spaces, that I gave up maintaining over 12 years ago.

We are planning a 500-600 lot auction for early September which will probably will turn into a 1000+ lot 2 day auction.
I guess this is called retirement..... It's a lot of work becoming retired. Thank you for being my friends and customers for the last 40 years of doing gun and knife shows and owning my brick and mortar in Carefree for 13 years.
