We are excited to launch the KoaStrong Fishing Series with our first free community fishing derby on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Capitola Wharf.

Fishing was one of Koa’s greatest joys. From the Capitola Wharf… to the Delta… to the shores of Oʻahu… and the Snake River in Jackson, Wyoming… some of his happiest moments were spent with a fishing pole in hand, surrounded by family, adventure, and the outdoors he loved so much.

Now, through the KoaStrong Fishing Series, we hope to create those same meaningful moments for other children and families while raising awareness and support for childhood cancer prevention and early detection research.
