We are deeply grateful to our dedicated IAED examiners this semester, Nick Stuckman and Garrett Bukowski, who poured their time, expertise, and careful attention into grading every certification test horse.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to Wayne Needham and Wyatt Snider for generously serving as proctors.

And thank you, Marilyn Hobbs, our esteemed IAED representative and stewardess for keeping everything organized and running so smoothly.

It is an incredible honor for our team to represent the International Association of Equine Dentistry and to help guide the next generation of skilled equine dental professionals. Every exam, every horse, and every hour given behind the scenes is another step toward raising the standard of care these animals deserve!! 🙌🏽

Fifty-five students in one semester is a real workload. Classrooms, wet labs, and barns all stay full and a workload of that size requires a pile of reliable, responsible, and professional individuals.

At this semester, we were blessed to have thirteen instructors who dedicated multiple days of their time to teach and guide the next generation of equine dental providers. 💪🏽

A special thank you to:

Wayne Needham
Bobby Griswold
Tristan Harbour
Taylor Dryer
Saitlynn Hall
Wyatt Sims
Lace’e Cox
Cassie Rosser

Thank you for the hours, the repetition, and the consistency. You showed students what professional work looks like when the class is large and the days are long. We couldn’t have pulled this off without you guys!! 🙌🏽

The Equine Dental School of Texas is incredibly proud to celebrate our latest graduates who successfully passed the IAED practical certification exam.

14 out of 19 students earned their certification, a 75% pass rate that reflects long days, sore hands, late-night study, and a genuine commitment to the horse. We are honored to stand behind every student who walked out of that barn certified. You have earned this moment, and we look forward to watching the impact you will make in the field. 🙌🏽

Congratulations to:

To the students who did not pass this time: this result does not define your future. This exam is demanding by design, and many respected practitioners did not succeed on the first attempt. You now understand the standard, you have the training, and you have a school and a community that still believes in you. Return ready. We will be here in January to help you finish what you started.

Important note following IAED certification: Some states require a license after certification. Please take a moment to review your state’s veterinary practice act so you stay fully compliant.

We are proud of this entire class. This is a meaningful achievement, and the work ahead of you matters. 🫶🏽

As we close out our September semester, we love hearing straight from our students.

In this video, one of our first-timers shares her favorite part of the program and the piece of instructor advice that stuck with her most after working on fifteen horses this semester:

Having the procedure locked in so you can move with efficiency instead of guessing.

That’s when it starts to click. So proud of how far these first-timers have come in just one semester! 🙌🏽

The Equine Dental School of Texas congratulates our ED 301 students who have successfully passed the IAED written exam!!

This result reflects consistent preparation, professional discipline, and a clear commitment to the standards of equine dentistry. Passing the written examination is a significant step toward IAED certification. 🙌🏽

We recognize their perseverance and will continue supporting them as they continue to work towards achieving their IAED certification! 🤩

After completing the wet lab today, we switched gears and had an educational lunch at Braum’s.

Lunch first, then lecture on horsemanship, state legislation, and charting without leaving the table. 🤩

State law is not optional reading. It defines who may perform equine dental work, the scope of that work, and how providers stay compliant while still putting the horse first.

Charting is how that work gets recorded, defended, and done well.

Know the rules in the state where you practice. Work within them. 🙌🏽

Nothing like a stampede of recip mares to kickstart the morning!! 🙌🏽

Arena’s full, schedule’s packed, and these girls are getting the full workup today!

Grateful for the opportunity to take care of these horses and the busy day ahead!! 💪🏽

Rocking our first day at Noble Equine Services with our first and second time students! The kind of day that reminds you why this work matters.

These mares carry other people’s futures. Their comfort, their teeth, their ability to eat and stay healthy is not a side job. It is the job.💪🏽

A barn full of recipient mares. Students already in the rhythm!

Thank you Noble Equine Services for entrusting us to take care of your recipient mares!! 🙌🏽

Each day of lecture, our students leave with a new homework assignment.

They are tasked with drawing the anatomical structure of the teeth (maxillary molars, mandibular molars, and incisors), hand writing permanent eruption charts, and in some cases take spelling tests, so the new vocabulary actually sticks when they jump into the profession!

The drawings this week show they are not just completing the work. They are paying attention and putting their own personality into it!

This field does not reward shortcuts. You get out of it what you put into it, and this class is putting the work in.

Never underestimate the power of pen and paper!! 🤩🙌🏽
