HFSS Match Report
Our August Speed Match was today. We had 8 shooters who shot 6 rounds and then a Magnificent Seven double elimination finals. Finishing first was Syxkiller. Second was Pale Rider, third was Snakebit, fourth was Barry James, fifth was Lightning Storm, sixth was Brown Eyed Girl, and seventh was Armadillo Bob. Also shooting was Rambunctious Red.
Lightning Storm presented Syxkiller a framed picture of the essence of his alias. Lightning Storm has put a lot of work and expense in providing all our active shooters with this unique piece of art. Remember we shoot every second and fourth Saturdays at 10 am.

Today was August 8 and we held our monthly Cowboy Fast Draw match. We had 9 shooters and 2 spectators.
It was very warm but manageable . We shot 6 rounds and then held the Magnificent Seven.
Finishing first was Syxkiller, who also had the fastest time of .359 with the long gun.
Second place went to Pale Rider who shot clean all day until he met Syxkiller in the finals. Third place was C**ton Roy who brought his own cheering section, his wife Sara and daughter Bella. Fourth place went to Barry James. Fifth went to Doc Robinson. Sixth saw Snakebit move up from seventh seed. Brown Eyed Girl took seventh shooting in the men’s category. Also shooting was Rambunctious Red and Lightning Storm. Everyone had a great time of competition and fellowship. Remember Fun is mandatory. Safety first, fun second and competition third. Lightning Storm won the Pinkerton money by giving Rambunctious Red a third X. C**ton Roy was presented a framed cowboy art work by Lightning Storm, depicting the essence of his alias.
Upcoming events are the 4th Saturday this month is a Speed Shoot on blocker targets at 10am. Come have fun gripping and ripping.
September has a CFDA shoot the second Saturday. Our sister club in Kentucky is hosting their State Championship September 10-13.

Saturday July 11 was our monthly Cowboy Fast Draw Match. We had 10 shooters, 1 lady and 9 gentlemen.
Finishing first for the second month in a row was Pale Rider. Second place was C**ton Roy. Third was Snake Bit. Fourth place went to Armadillo Bob. Fifth place was Lightnin’ Storm. Sixth place was Rambunctious Red. And shooting against the men Brown Eyed Girl made the Mag 7 and finished 7th.
Also shooting was Tumble W**d, Barry James and Syx Killer.
The ladies fastest time was 585 by Brown Eyed Girl, and 345 by Syx Killer.
Our next meeting is at Appalachian Gun and Range on July 24-25 for a Try Cowboy Fast Draw Event. We need our members to come when they can and instruct new shooters.

Just a reminder we have a CFDA match this coming Saturday July 11, signup at 9, shooting at 10am.
Also remember we have a try Cowboy Fast Draw, Friday and Saturday July 24-25 from 10-4 at Appalachian Gun near Jasper. Any members who can help with this please let us know , you will be teaching new shooters.

Today was our June Cowboy Fast Draw Match. We had 12 shooters and three guests from Alabama; QD Kate, Cherokee Sparrow and her husband Alabama who was fresh off his Virginia State Championship. Finishing first for the Ladies was Cherokee Sparrow, second was QD Kate and third was Brown Eyed Girl. Thank you to Ruthless Annie for helping score and announce.
In the Men’s Magnificent Seven was Pale Rider taking first place, second was Tumble W**d, third and fastest time (325) was Syxkiller. Finishing fourth was Snakebit. Fifth place was C**ton Roy, sixth was Barry James and Seventh was Rambunctious Red. Also shooting was Lightning Storm and Alabama.
In July we will have a Speed Shoot on Saturday July 11, and on July 24 and 25 we will be at Appalachian Gun and Range hosting a Try Cowboy Fast Draw event. Come by between 10 and 4, it is absolutely free and open to ages 8 to 88. Don’t miss the fun.
