YOU DO NOT NEED A PARTNER TO LEARN HOW TO DANCE. 💃🕺
We still get calls all the time from people who say, “Oh! I didn’t realize I could come by myself.”
So let’s squash that one right now. 😄
You can come to R&J Ballroom completely on your own.
In our group classes, there are almost always other people attending without partners, and we actually encourage everyone to rotate and dance with different people. Dancing with different partners helps you learn faster because every person feels a little different. You develop better leading, following, timing, and adaptability—and if you do have a regular partner, you bring all of those skills right back to them.
And think about social dancing: if everyone only danced with the person they came with, there wouldn’t be much of a dance party! 😂 Plenty of dancers come to events on their own, and they WANT more people to learn how to dance so there are more people to dance with.
The same goes throughout R&J Ballroom. Private lessons, group classes, parties, Game Nights, showcases and other events—you are absolutely welcome to participate on your own.
There are other students. There are instructors. There are people to dance with.
So please don’t let “I don’t have a partner” be the reason you don’t start. ❤️
