New memories made, goals accomplished, new goals discovered, and hearts full of gratitude. ❤️🥋

Our team traveled to IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Con and put their skills to the test against some of the best competitors out there. We came home with more than medals — we came home with valuable lessons, new experiences, and plenty of motivation to keep pushing forward.

We couldn’t be more proud of every single person who stepped on the mats. The effort, courage, and determination everyone showed was incredible. Win or lose, every match was an opportunity to grow. 💪

And a HUGE shoutout to one of our amazing kids, Eli Ruiz! 🏆🏆

Eli brought home DOUBLE GOLD and earned his fresh yellow belt! 💛🥋

Congratulations, Eli! You make your teammates, coaches, and entire Canby Jiu Jitsu family so proud. Keep working hard and keep chasing those goals!

Canby jiu jitsu displayed amazing jiu jitsu and heart consistently throughout the day bringing home 3rd place overall at a tournament with around 800 competitors

Stepping out on that mat to test yourself is not easy, so regardless of the results, we are so proud of everyone and their progress! Now we get to take we learned back home and continue to improve 👏🏻

Friday, July 3rd:
❌ No Ladies Only class
❌ No Kids class
✅ Adults class WILL be held as usual
Saturday, July 4th:
❌ No Open Mat

🏕️ NEXT WEEK — Kids Camp (9am–12pm daily)
With Kids Camp running all week from 9am to noon, there will be NO morning or mid-day classes for the entire week.
Evening classes will resume as normal.

For our tiniest athletes, ages 3–4 years old 🥋💙

📅 Wednesdays
⏰ 3:30–4:00 PM

At Canby Jiujitsu, we truly believe that kids thrive when they’re in classes designed specifically for their age and stage of development. Every age group has different needs, attention spans, learning styles, and ways of interacting with the world.

Our Minis class focuses on:
✨ Listening skills
✨ Following directions
✨ Coordination and body awareness
✨ Confidence and social development
✨ Having FUN while learning the basics of jiu-jitsu!

As children grow, they adjust and adapt to new challenges, and our age-appropriate classes help support that journey every step of the way. We meet kids where they are and help them build the skills they’ll need for the next stage—both on and off the mats.

We can’t wait to welcome our newest little teammates! 🐻🥋💪

Canby Jiu Jitsu will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember the men and women who have served our country.

We will still be holding Open Mat from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM for anyone looking to get some training in.

Have a safe holiday, and we’ll see you on the mats! 🤙
