Oregon Thunder 18Gold and 18A will be having tryouts at Tigard High School on August 2nd, 5th and 7th!

We have some NEW Coaches that I’m happy to bring into the Thunder Family! Welcome Ashton Porter and Paityn Willoughby, we also have Taylor Paull and Kalyna Korok assisting the Gold team for this coming season!

Both teams will have Open tryouts and are looking at 16u-18u eligible players. We are looking for motivated players that want to compete at a high level. We are traveling and competing in Triple Crown/PGF and USA Preps.

All of the coaches listed have recently/previously played softball at the college/hs level and want to prepare young ladies for that next level! Oregon Thunder 18 Gold was down going into the bottom of the 7th inning vs. Texas Glory Atkins 18 Gold during their first bracket game of the USA Softball 18 Gold National Championship DOWN 2-5.

With a leadoff walk by Cassidy Kachnik and back to back singles by Emily Paulson and Alivia Eastman loaded the bases for Kacie Schmidt. Schmidt took the first pitch back up center field getting all the way to the fence clearing the bases with a Triple tying the game 5-5.

Next Sydney Brown steps in the box and on the first pitch takes a DADDY HACK and just misses. The very next pitch she lays down an amazing Su***de Squeeze scoring Kacie Schmidt propelling her Oregon Thunder to Victory.

Camille Leach pitched an amazing game giving up 8 scattered hits while striking out 5 and giving out 0 walks. Her CHANGEUP was deadly!

Oregon Thunder will be hosting tryouts for the 2020-2021 season starting in the first week of August. We will have multiple teams at each level: 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U.

Due to COVID-19 and for the safety of our coaches and players we ask that you signup for tryouts online at https://www.thundersoftball.org/tryout-registration/

The 2020 Maddie Higgins Memorial Senior All-Star Game ends in a 4-4 tie! Glencoe’s Alivia Eastman drove in the tying run in the Top 7th to tie the game for Team North! Sheldon’s Camille Leach had a 2 RBI single in the 5th, and Westview’s Maddie Curaming had an RBI single! Go Thunder!!!
