✨ A New Neighbor is Worth Celebrating! ✨
We’re so excited to officially welcome SALT Health & Fitness to the neighborhood! 🤍 salthealthandfitness
I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Kim Becker, the owner of SALT, and I left our conversation inspired. Kim is a truly delightful woman, a passionate entrepreneur and someone who genuinely cares about building community through health, wellness and connection. We couldn’t ask for a better neighbor!
To celebrate this exciting new chapter, Georgie Emerson Vintage and SALT Health & Fitness are hosting a special Style Meets Strength Welcome Neighbor Event!
🗓️ Sunday, August 2
⏰ 9:00 AM
We’ll gather for a morning stroll, enjoy a neighborhood walk, cool down with a tour of SALT, then head over to Georgie Emerson Vintage for refreshments, shopping and a fun giveaway featuring prizes from both businesses!
Whether you’re a longtime friend or new to the neighborhood, we’d love to see you there. Come meet Kim, explore SALT, shop with us and celebrate the power of community.
✨ How to Join Us ✨

Strength starts low.
Before the first squat.
Before the first deadlift.
Before the first rep.
Every Salt session begins on the floor.
We breathe. We slow down. We reconnect with our bodies before asking them to perform.
Because the strongest people aren't always the ones who train the hardest—they're the ones who learn to move with intention.
That's how we begin at Salt. 🤍

"Should I push through… or should I rest?” 🤍
This is one of the questions I hear most often from women.
The truth is, there’s no perfect answer—but here’s a simple framework that can help.
🟢 Green Light – Train
* You didn’t sleep well.
* You’re feeling tired.
* You’re a little sore.
* You’re just not very motivated.
These are often the days when it’s worth starting anyway. Give yourself 10–15 minutes to warm up and see how your body responds. You might be surprised how much better you feel once you get moving.
🟡 Yellow Light – Modify
* You’ve had several poor nights of sleep.
* Stress is running high.
* Your body feels unusually heavy or fatigued.
Instead of skipping movement completely, consider a lighter workout, a walk, or a mobility session.
🔴 Red Light – Rest
* You’re sick.
* You have sharp pain.
* Your pain gets worse as you move.
* Your body is clearly telling you something isn’t right.
Those are the days to prioritize recovery.
The goal isn’t to always push through, and it isn’t to always rest.
The goal is to learn the difference.
One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is learning to understand your body’s signals instead of feeling guilty for listening to them.
Sometimes your body needs a challenge.
Sometimes it needs recovery.
Both are part of becoming stronger. ❤️

A beautiful little God wink.
Tomorrow is Salt’s official reopening, and I just realized it’s exactly three years and one day since our very first grand opening.
This wasn’t planned—just a reminder that God has been writing this story all along. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. Here’s to a new chapter at Salt. 🤍

One of my favourite pieces of equipment in the studio… the suspension trainer. 🤍
Most people think suspension training is only for advanced exercisers, but it’s actually one of the best tools for beginners.
By simply changing your body position, each exercise can be made easier or more challenging, making it suitable for every fitness level.
It helps improve strength, balance, stability, core control, and confidence—all while being gentle on the joints.
At Salt, everything we do has a purpose, and every exercise can be adapted to meet you where you are.
(And yes… apparently they’re pretty fun for little ones too. 😊)

No one in this room is an expert. No one has it all figured out.
We’re simply women who have decided we want to become stronger.
There is no competition here. No comparison. No pressure to punish our bodies or sweat ourselves into someone more “acceptable.”
We show up because we can.
Because there is joy in discovering what our bodies are capable of.
Because strength isn’t about looking a certain way—it’s about living with confidence, resilience, and freedom.
Every woman in this photo is on her own journey, but for one hour, we’re all moving in the same direction.
Stronger than yesterday. Together.
🤍 Welcome to Salt.
