Camp 2026 was a very interesting year .. so many changes…first the Calhoun Recreation has been our base since the 1970’s. This year the major demolition of the building prevented the swimming daily so we then changed to the Gordon County Recreation for our base and the facilities. They were gracious enough to accept us, even though we were not in their budget. We had to make date changes, we only went three weeks not four and only three days each week. We still went Bowling at Calhoun Bowling Center, visited our first responders..Calhoun Police Dept., Calhoun Fire Dept., Gordon County Fire Dept., the Gordon County Sheriff Dept., Chick fil a, and Dairy Queen.
Special thanks to Resaca 1st Baptist Church, NewTown Baptist Church for the vans, wonderful drivers and church volunteers to make transportation happen.. Calhoun City government for the fuel. Our special friends that helped with expenses Damascus Baptist Church, New Town Baptist WOM, Spring Place SS class -Ray & Linda Davis, Hill City Baptist Church, Antioch Baptist Church SS class, my family & close friends.
