Great job Ali and Fame! Fully bridleless 💕

Sorry everyone...Nava is gross and he doesn't understand why you don't want to pet him 😆

This week's Student of the Week is Auri!
Auri is amazing. She's brave and knows what she wants. She asks great questions, always makes me laugh and I hope she rules the world someday. She had some great rides this summer and improved a lot! I'm very lucky to get to work with her! I'm so proud of you, Auri!

Every morning Natalie has been rescuing this little dummy who gets his head stuck in the hay feeder. She slept in the other day and I decided to see if he was really that dumb to keep getting "stuck" the same way everyday!
So I let the sheep out and just left him there.
When I walked away he started SCREAMING in the most pathetic and loud goat scream you've ever heard! Well, after a bit I heard a small commotion and there he was, walking to the pasture with the sheep. Ha! So he could get himself out. He just wanted Natalie to come save him every morning 😉😂

If they can’t walk and steer, they can’t trot and steer.
If they can’t balance at the trot, they aren’t ready to canter.
If they can’t go catch their own horse, groom it, tack it up and take responsibility for it, how are they supposed to lead that horse from the saddle?

Going faster does not equal getting better. Strapping your kid to a horse and sending them into the arena isn’t making them better, it’s setting them up to get hurt.

You might think watching your kid walk circles isn’t exciting. You might think they should be cantering, jumping “doing more.”

But sometimes they’re simply not ready.

And respectfully — that’s why you hired an instructor. Because knowing how and when to progress a rider is our job.

We aren’t holding your kid back. We’re building the foundation that keeps them safe and makes them GOOD.

This week's Student of the Week is Quinn!
Quinn's confidence improved a lot over the summer and she got more independent! She asked me if she could steer through the cones on her own and then did it! Quinn is fun and you can always count on her to find a cool bug or identify a plant on the trails.
I'm very proud of Quinn's riding and focus and I'm thankful to have been her instructor over summer break! Well done Quinn!
