🐴🏒 HORSE OF THE GAME: CHRIS PREININGER 🏒🐴

Chris set the tone from the start by making himself right at home in front of the net. 😂

Creating traffic, making the goalie work, and causing chaos in the crease… exactly the kind of gritty hockey the Apocalypse needed.

🚨 The reward? His first goal of the season!

The Cranberry Apocalypse came out firing and never let up, scoring three times in the opening period before cruising to a convincing 6-1 victory over the Icons.

The scoring started just 2:16 into the game when Kyle Nolan buried his third goal of the season off a slick passing play from Adam Cheblonski and Max Redinger. Just over a minute later, Nolan returned the favor, finding Max Redinger, who ripped home his first NBHL career goal to double the Apocalypse lead.

Cranberry kept the pressure on as Marcus King capped a dominant first period with his fourth goal of the season, giving the Apocalypse a commanding 3-0 advantage.

The offense didn’t slow down in the second. Owen Durka found the back of the net off assists from Chris Preininger and Jim Evans, stretching the lead to four. King then struck again late in the period, netting his second goal of the night to make it 5-0.

With just under six minutes remaining, Nolan buried his second goal of the night after a beautiful setup from Kaden Wysong and King, putting an exclamation point on a dominant 6-1 win.

Balanced scoring, unselfish ball movement, and relentless pressure powered the Apocalypse from start to finish as they controlled the game in all three periods. 📸: Michelle Usher-Durka
