On Friday May 1, 2026, members of Edgewood Valley Country Club celebrated owning and operating their property for exactly 100 years at 7500 S. Willow Springs Road in Burr Ridge, Ill. The original golf course and Clubhouse opened on May 1, 1926 after the Club had moved from La Grange.
In the fall of 1924, after selling their previous land, the membership voted in favor of purchasing their current land, which was the 184 acre Willis Ward Farm at the time. A month later, the Club signed a contract with William Diddel to construct the golf course and the work began in the spring of 1925. On May 1, 1926, the new Edgewood Valley Country Club golf course and chalet-style Clubhouse opened to the membership. The new course was touted as being “several strokes harder” than the old course.
The Club celebrated its anniversary with a rededication ceremony at the first tee and a 1920s-themed party to replicate what the membership did in 1926, calling the event “100 Years in the Valley.”

We couldn’t be more excited for tomorrow’s launch of our own “Snout Nose” India Pale Ale thanks to a great collaboration with Alter Brewing Company! The name pays homage to the 16th green at Edgewood Valley Country Club. The 16th green features a smaller green and "snout nosed" shape with a back k**b that slopes away from the center of the green in both directions that looks like a nose. This green is truly unique to our golf course and we are thrilled to commemorate it in such a special way. Thank you Alter Brewing Company for making it happen in time for our Member/Member weekend event!

We were lucky to host nearly 600 members and guests at Edgewood Valley Country Club for our annual 3rd of July party and see the new Clubhouse lit up amid the evening sky! This was the last major event before we reopen the Clubhouse and we are already envisioning cocktail hours on the balcony.

It’s and at Edgewood Valley Country Club, we are in constant awe of our grounds department for their hard work in keeping our golf course in pristine condition. While the footprint of our Clubhouse in this video looks drastically different now as we approach the end of our renovation, the views of the course are just stunning.
