🌈 The Y is walking in Pride Vermont this year!

On Sunday, September 13, you'll find us marching down Church Street as part of the Pride Vermont Parade — and we couldn't be more excited to show up for our community.

At the Y, one of our Core Values is Respect, and Respect means everyone belongs here — no exceptions. We show up for Pride because inclusion isn't a slogan for us, it's the practice. It's woven into every program, every pool, every gym, every welcome at the front desk.

Pride Vermont has always been powered by community — this year, led by a new coalition of local organizers (Burly Bear, Out in the 802, Q***r VT, and the City of Burlington) keeping the tradition alive. We're proud to walk alongside them.

📍 Parade steps off at 12:00 p.m. from South Winooski Ave, heading up Church and Pearl Streets, ending at Battery Park for the festival at 1:00 p.m.

This Hunger Action Month, we’re shining a spotlight on Meg Carswell, Early Childhood Education Director at the Greater Burlington YMCA location, whose dedication to establishing and maintaining a food pantry is making a real difference for families in Early Childhood Education. Thanks to Meg’s commitment, more children and families have access to the healthy meals they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
