HE’S BACK! Weston Yates — 2028 Era TX

Weston Yates is returning to the Blacksox for the 2027 summer! A catcher with a genuine love for baseball, Weston has shown us that he is committed to developing his game and becoming the best player he can be.

What stands out most about Weston is his desire to improve. He comes to the field ready to compete, learn, and put in the work every day. He understands that development is a process, and he is willing to embrace the challenges that come with it.

Behind the plate, Weston continues to build his skills and gain valuable experience. His competitive mindset and willingness to learn give him a strong foundation as he grows into the player he wants to become.

Weston is a great kid who loves the game, and those qualities make him a pleasure to have in our program. We’re excited to have him back with the Blacksox in 2027 and look forward to watching his hard work translate into continued growth on and off the field!

HE’S BACK! Aden Hidalgo — 2029 Caprock TX

Aden Hidalgo is returning to the Blacksox for the 2027 summer after establishing himself as one of the most improved players in our program during 2026.

Aden came to the field ready to work every single day, and that commitment showed in his development throughout the summer. He made tremendous strides defensively, becoming a more confident and dependable fielder, while continuing to improve his approach and production at the plate.

As a young player competing against kids several years older than him, Aden was challenged to adjust to a faster, more competitive level of baseball. He embraced that challenge, proved he could hold his own, and gained valuable experience that will continue to benefit him as he develops.

What excites us most about Aden is his willingness to put in the work. He never shied away from the competition, continued to improve throughout the summer, and showed us what can happen when a player commits to getting better every day.

We’re excited to have Aden back with the Blacksox in 2027! We look forward to watching him build on the progress he made last summer and take another step toward becoming an impact player for our program.

HE’S BACK! Kye Morris — 2028 Liberal Kansas

Kye Morris is another exciting 2028 graduate returning to the Blacksox for the 2027 summer. Kye has blossomed into a complete player with a variety of tools that allow him to impact the game in multiple ways.

Kye put together an outstanding 2026 summer at the plate, hitting .353 with a .459 on-base percentage and .471 slugging percentage, producing a .929 OPS. He collected 24 hits, including a home run, drove in 12 runs, and scored 28. His ability to consistently get on base and create offense made him an important part of the Blacksox lineup.

Kye’s development goes well beyond his offensive production. He has continued to mature into a well-rounded player who understands the game and approaches every opportunity with a purpose. He is a student of the game, works incredibly hard, and is always looking for ways to improve.

What makes Kye especially valuable to our program is the way he carries himself. He is a leader in the clubhouse, an outstanding teammate, and a mature young man with a professional approach to the game. He understands that being a great player involves more than individual production, and he consistently sets an example through his preparation, attitude, and work ethic.

Kye has made tremendous strides in his development, and we believe there is still plenty more to come. We’re excited to have him back with the Blacksox in 2027 and can’t wait to watch him continue to grow as both a player and a leader!

Catching up with Caden Cope! 🎙️⚾️

Caden spent four years in the Blacksox program, developing his game and preparing for the opportunity to play at the next level.

Now a Left-Handed Pitcher at Vernon College, Caden sits down with us to reflect on his time with the Blacksox, the relationships and memories he made along the way, and how his experience in the program helped prepare him for college baseball.

One of the most rewarding parts of this program is watching our players grow, achieve their goals, and continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level. We are proud of Caden and excited to see what the future holds for him!

Western Oklahoma CC last Sunday, Cameron University this Sunday! ⚾️ This group of boys is loaded with talent, and it’s been an incredible fall so far! HE’S BACK! Kadon Reep — 2027 West Plains TX

Kadon Reep is coming back for another summer with the Blacksox and continues to develop into one of the more exciting left-handed arms in our program.

Kadon put together a strong 2026 summer as a two-way player. At the plate, he hit .345 with a .486 on-base percentage and .922 OPS. He collected 19 hits, drove in 14 runs, scored 12, and drew 14 walks. He has continued to prove that he can be a legitimate presence in the lineup and consistently give quality at-bats.

While Kadon can absolutely swing the bat, we believe his future at the college level is on the mound. The left-hander threw 21 innings for us last summer, striking out 22 hitters. He showed flashes of what he can become, including a six-inning start on June 26 where he allowed just one earned run and struck out six.

Kadon has already reached the upper 80s and has made a serious commitment to increasing his velocity, strength, and size. He is already beginning to receive college interest, and as the physical development continues, we believe his opportunities will continue to grow.

More than anything, Kadon is another one of those players who understands what it means to play Blacksox baseball. He is competitive, works incredibly hard, represents the program the right way, and is committed to his development.

We expect Kadon to be a strong presence on our 18U team in 2027. Left-handed arms with his ability and projection are hard to find, and we’re excited to watch him continue to develop into the pitcher we believe he can become.

HE’S BACK! Conner Prickett — 2029 Memorial (Wichita Falls) TX

Conner Prickett is one of those players whose development has been accelerated by constantly being challenged. As just a freshman last summer, Conner collected more than 76 at-bats, with the majority coming against 18U competition. Rather than backing away from playing older players, he embraced it and continued to show glimpses of the player he is becoming.

Two of his biggest performances came on the mound against 18U teams. Conner threw five innings against the Oklahoma Jets and another five innings against Oklahoma Elite, giving his team an opportunity to win both games. His athleticism, competitiveness, and mentality allow him to get on the mound and take control of a game regardless of the age of the players standing in the other dugout.

We saw another glimpse of his potential during the 19U American Legion Tournament in Burkburnett. Competing against significantly older players, Conner hit .333 with a .500 on-base percentage and .917 OPS for the weekend. It was a great example of his ability to rise to the level of competition and impact the game at the plate.

Conner has the tools to impact a game in several different ways. He has the athleticism and hand-eye coordination to develop into a legitimate middle-of-the-order bat, while also possessing the ability and mentality to take the baseball and compete on the mound.

What excites us most, though, is the person behind those tools. Conner is committed to baseball, wants to get better, and refuses to quit. Regardless of the outcome, you know he is going to come back and continue working. That mentality has already played a major role in the development we have seen from him.

There is still a lot of physical growth ahead for Conner, and that makes his future even more exciting. We’re looking forward to having him back with the Blacksox in 2027 and watching what happens as he continues to grow, get stronger, and develop his game.

HE’S BACK! Devon Briscoe — 2028 Millsap TX

Devon Briscoe has been a part of the Blacksox program for years, and he understands what is expected when you put on a Blacksox uniform. He knows how things are supposed to be done, competes at an extremely high level, and has developed into a player capable of impacting every game he plays.

We really started to see what Devon was capable of during the 2025 15U AABC World Series in Branson, Missouri. On one of the biggest stages of the summer, Devon hit .462 and showed his ability to perform in big moments. That tournament felt like another step forward for him, and he hasn’t slowed down since.

Devon followed that up with a strong 2026 summer, hitting .351 with a .429 on-base percentage and .486 slugging percentage, producing a .915 OPS. He collected 26 hits, drove in 17 runs, scored 18, and drew 10 walks. He has become a tough out every time he steps into the box and a strong presence in the Blacksox lineup.

Devon’s impact goes well beyond his offense. He is an extremely competitive player and a strong defender who understands how to play the game. His experience within the program shows in the way he carries himself, prepares, and competes.

The growth Devon has shown over the last few years has been tremendous. From his breakout performance in Branson to the player he is becoming today, he continues to prove that he can rise to the moment and find ways to help his team win.

We’re excited to have Devon back with the Blacksox in 2027 and can’t wait to see what the next step in his development looks like!

HE’S BACK! Brance Glasgow — 2029 Paschal High School

Brance Glasgow will return for his third summer with the Blacksox in 2027. After joining the program as just a 14-year-old, Brance has continued to mature, develop, and become an increasingly valuable player in our program.

Brance put together an outstanding 2026 summer at the plate, hitting .469 with a .541 on-base percentage and .594 slugging percentage, producing an impressive 1.134 OPS. He showed the ability to put together quality at-bats and produce offensively.

One of Brance’s biggest strengths is his versatility. He can catch and has the athleticism and baseball IQ to play just about anywhere on the field, while being especially strong in the outfield. That versatility gives his team options and is another example of how Brance finds ways to contribute wherever he is needed.

But Brance brings much more to the Blacksox than his ability on the field. He is an A+ teammate who does the little things right. He is mature, intelligent, incredibly hard-working, and committed to his process. He understands that development takes time and continues to stay focused on his own path.

The Blacksox also run deep in Brance’s family, as he is the nephew of Blacksox President Mickey Cornelius. It has been special watching Brance grow up within the program while beginning to create his own story in a Blacksox uniform.

We’re extremely excited to have Brance back for his third summer in 2027. He has already made tremendous strides since arriving as a 14-year-old, and we can’t wait to see where his continued work and development take him.
