Feeling stuck with your routine of traditional stretching & strengthening exercises?

Learning the detailed movements that should be happening with every step you take gives you freedom of movement & pain relief.

Picture yourself moving like a younger version of you. No longer limping to skirt around old injuries but walking & running with confidence, speed & joy.

This is what my clients are saying:

“I wanted to give you a huge THANK YOU! We have been touring around Turkey for the past week and I have had no foot pain and no knee pain. It’s actually enjoyable to walk, hike and explore the outdoors! Again, thank you for everything that you did with physical therapy to restore my walking back to 100%!”
Mark

“I had a fantastic hike. My feet and ankles felt better on the trails today than they have in probably 2 years...I’m so thankful for your guidance.” Elizabeth

“Went on a hike Saturday. It was a rocky stream, slippery rocks. I felt so much more confident ...better balance & more strength in my whole body.” Danielle

“Christina has helped me SO much! 6 weeks ago I was really suffering with plantar fasciitis and given arch supports… well the arch supports caused me to have horrible knee pain. I saw Christina and she gave me exercises and I am almost pain free!! I have had heel issues for years and I am so much better. I am now walking/hiking 3 miles at time with no issues. Now that I am feeling better I am going to return to work on other stuff!!”

Feet can be trained like any other body part.

But never treat just the part that hurts.

A whole body approach based on the science of biomechanics gives lasting results.

One of the biggest mistakes I see when people are trying to get out of pain is that they are looking for a practitioner to fix them.

We would all love to lay on a table and have something done to us that magically takes away our pain for good.

But when we only receive treatments that are passive (massage, adjustments, shockwave, etc) we are missing out on the most important remedies.

When you get off the table & walk out of your appointment with the same imbalances you walked in with, your body starts to revert back to its favorite compensations.

The massage, adjustment or other treatment may help you feel relaxed for a few hours or days, but as your body reverts back to it’s old patterns, you feel the tension & pain creep back in.

Another common problem is that if you do have an active plan that includes exercises, those exercise are almost always too basic.

Hamstring & calf stretches, stability exercises, squats, clamshells, etc. Those aren’t interrupting your current patterns enough.

Ideally we learn what whole body patterns are the most disorganized in our body…what specific movement patterns are we the worst at? We ALL have a list.

Then it’s important figure out what old injuries have caused stuck spots that are making those patterns so difficult.

Get help dislodging the stuck spot and incorporating movement there into the whole body pattern that we have been escaping. BTW this whole body pattern we avoid - it is totally off our radar because our compensation feels so normal to us.

Most of us have more than one pattern to organize. As we go through this process one layer at a time, expect to feel more fluid & free, less stiff & painful.

This is a fascinating journey. You get to know & understand your body and how to feel your best with intentional exercises.

Reach out & message me if you’re ready to learn what your body needs to unravel from old injuries so you can do what you love without pain holding you back.

You don’t need Hoka shoes, orthotics or massage to get rid of your pain.

Treating the areas that don’t move properly gets results - not perpetually working on the spots that hurt.

The problem areas that need attention are totally off your radar because they feel normal to you. Reach out if you want help finding them!

The flat foot gets demonized but learning how to drop your arch properly is one of the most important things you can do if you want to reduce pain & boost performance.

We need to pronate our foot well (flatter foot shape) to absorb shock & set us up for energetic propulsion forward.

If you have flat feet, you probably dump into the inner edge of your foot. Learning to use your whole foot when your arch drops improves the way you walk & run drastically.

So yes, even the flat footed person should train their feet to flatten out the right way. 🦶

I rarely see someone who keeps their big toe knuckle grounded properly when they make an arch in their foot. 🦶

When you get this right it helps your feet & whole body to move better.

This particular exercise gives me a huge hip flexor stretch, and I get tons of carry over with it since I’m practicing precise movements that should happen when I walk.

I’m using wedges as props to help my foot interact with the ground better and I’m moving my foot, leg, pelvis & spine in a very intentional way.

When you pay attention to the detailed moves that should be happening when you walk, expect BREAKTHROUGH with pain & performance. 🚀

Walking mechanics is the foundation for running & sports.

Ready to feel younger & more confident?

Learn to accept weight fully on BOTH legs (most of us favor one side).

Training your arch to drop & absorb shock puts the spring back in your step.

This will help you have a more fun & adventurous summer.
