The Buffalo Bills are adding some veteran experience to their defensive front.

With run defense emerging as a major area of concern after Buffalo allowed 2,315 rushing yards last season, the Bills have signed veteran defensive tackle Greg Gaines.

The former fourth-round pick brings seven years of NFL experience to Buffalo, along with a Super Bowl LVI title from his time with the Los Angeles Rams.

Gaines spent the last three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has totaled 186 career tackles and 14.5 sacks.

Now, he’ll have a chance to earn a spot on Buffalo’s 53-man roster and compete for snaps in a defensive line rotation featuring Ed Oliver, Deone Walker and Zane Durant.

It may not be the flashiest addition, but with the regular season approaching, Gaines could provide the Bills with some much-needed depth and run-stopping ability up front.
