The newest grey belt for Team Atlas competed in Dallas this weekend and did amazing. _samantha_rl submitted all three opponents with different submissions to win gold in her GI division. She had two very tough matches in nogi, both were close but didn’t go her way. She worked extremely hard the past few weeks and this was her third competition in 10 days. I could not be more proud of her and the work she put in.

Brazilian jiu jitsu can give kids a lot more than martial arts skills. Through BJJ, children can develop confidence, discipline, focus, resilience, coordination, and problem-solving skills— all while staying active and having fun!

Our latest blog looks at the benefits of BJJ for children and how the Atlas Jiu Jitsu Tiny Titans program for ages 4-14 helps young students grow both on and off the mats.

I’m so proud of Bella. Her opponent didn’t show today and she got bumped to the boys grey belt division. Of course she was nervous going into her first competition but she trusted her training, listened to her coaching. She won her first match 10-0 and tied in the finals 8-8, losing the decision. I couldn’t be more proud of her attitude and performance today. Sharing these moments with my athletes is the best part of coaching.
