We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) for the upcoming Calvello Cup Championship Bout this Saturday at the Travis County Expo Center!

Since its founding in 2010, TENT has grown to become the most comprehensive statewide organization focused on transgender issues in Texas. As a BIPOC, trans-led nonprofit, TENT is dedicated to policy advocacy, education, and community support, making significant strides in creating a more inclusive environment for all Texans.

In 2023, the Texas legislature proposed an alarming 140 anti-LGBTQ bills, the highest number of any state in the country. Through the power of community collaboration and generous donations, TENT has effectively mobilized transgender Texans and their allies to challenge and defeat over 90% of these detrimental bills. This remarkable achievement highlights the critical need for advocacy and support within our communities.

We encourage you to stop by TENT's table this Saturday at the bout to learn more about their impactful work, ongoing initiatives, and how you can get involved in supporting transgender rights in Texas.

DETAILS:
Every TUES/WED of October, in collaboration with and , will be hosting a Sock and Blanket Drive! What does this mean?
You can bring new socks OR new / gently used and washed blankets to Rain on 4th for donation on TUE/ WED before and/or during their Drag shows! If you don’t have any new or gently used items, you can still participate by sending digital donations to the Weird City Sisters, QR codes on the flyer. They will also have these QR codes for digital donations up at Rain on 4th during their TUE/WED shows. The goal is to get as many items for the drive as possible. We know the winters here can be brutal, and we want to make sure that we are doing our best to keep the houseless warm and comfortable during those times. PLEASE feel free to share the flyer all around social media!
