Hunting Season: Each Wildlife Management Area in Florida is different and has its own rules. Hunting with a tree stand is permitted during hunting season, again depending on the management area. The tree stands are not usually allowed to be there until a day before the hunting season starts and should be removed after the season has concluded. Many of the Wildlife Management Areas across our state are open to multiple user groups which does at times cause conflict. These areas are meant to be shared and respected by each user group keeping safety in mind at all times. We recommend your users to go to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission webpage at https://myfwc.com/ and review their link regarding hunting. Their site also has a link to every brochure for any wildlife management area in the state that the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission manages which lists the season dates for any hunting permitted on the particular wildlife management area allowing the individual to choose when they want to be on that particular management area. Howdy, work continues in the with weedwacking in the pits. White lightning, moonshine, cherry bomb, last call, bootlegger hill have all seen some action. I did some shovel work near tired hole and in drunken monkey. Volunteers have been doing repairs in several places, and the mowing continues. Still lots to do.

Howdy, James here with an update. August was pretty steady with an average of 5 trees a week due to consistent storms. I recently weedwacked s yellow near tucker, hangmans ridge, on da rocks and root hill. Will be going back through the pits this coming week. Bob just mowed north blue. Consistent snake sightings on Bootlegger Hill so keep your eyes open when riding.

We saw one other person today, James. It was cold but sunny. We managed 31 miles. A first for us! Maybe the last :)
