Gypsea Charters

Wednesday we sailed with an awesome crowd and a beautiful ocean. We took a long ride in a different direction to see what we could find. Bounced around lots of small pieces of bottom picking away at nice keepers on most drops. The action wasnt tremendous, but the keepers were all nice sized. Had to make a lot of drops, but we got it done. Topped the cooler off with a couple hundred ling so everyone had plenty of filets to go home with. Shaka had the hot hand with 4 keepers orl while Vinny nailed the pool with a 6 lb beauty.

Tuesdays open boat saw some beautiful weather for an awesome crowd. The fishing was slow for the most part, with a few flurries of keepers coming up at times. Covered lots and lots of ground always looking for something better, but saw similar results everywhere we went. Decent short action but not enough keepers. Nonetheless, we picked away at them making for a decent cooler and everyone had a great time!

On the Little Gypsea - Tuesday's open boat saw steady action throughout the trip, picking away at keepers with a bunch of shorts in the mix for the day. Really had to work for them, but enough quality fish in the mix to make for a nice cooler full. Big fish of the day went 7 lbs 9 oz!

Wednesdays open boat was a real struggle as we covered tons of miles with only an odd keeper here and there. Found an area holding some big fish at the end, which saved the day! All nice keepers 4 lbs or better up to 7 lbs. Put in some OT for these guys as they were an awesome group and put some nice flatties on deck. Thanks for sticking it out fellas!

Weekend recap aboard the big boat-
Sat we had Mike, Megan and family for an awesome day on the water. It was a bit breezy but they all fished hard in some tough conditions and put it together! The day started off well with shorts and keepers coming up, then had a mid day lull and finished the day with a bang! Ended the day with a nice cooler full of some really nice sized fish.

Sunday we had our buddy Rich along with friends and family out for his 60th birthday (Happy bday Rich!). Saw more shorts than keepers coming up so we had to bounce around quite a bit to find some good sized ones to bite. Everyone had a blast catching some nice flatties before wind kicked up and the sea turned ugly. Headed back inside to finish out the day but only saw a few more shorts before calling it a day.

Couple more trips on the little boat from last week. More of the same....loads of bites, plenty of shorts and working hard for the keepers. Some days they come easier than others, but we will keep moving until we find them. Definitely have seen some real quality as of late, which is always a nice sign. Friday we had out Tony and the boys for an awesome day of fishing. We had a lot of first timers on board, but they picked it up quickly and put some serious meat on deck! We saw nonstop action all day long with shots of nice keepers in many different areas. Kevin had the hot hand, nailing 7 keepers himself orl. Big thanks to our buddy Tony for setting this one up, everyone had a blast!

Thursday we hosted the annual Verizon corporate charter for a half day of fluking. We stayed closer to home and definitely were not disappointed. Rods were bent as soon as we stopped with non stop short action and some really nice keepers mixed in to just under 8 lbs. We picked away all morning until it was time to head in. Always a pleasure having this group on board - good food, good company, lots of laughs and some good fishing. Thank you Mike for setting up another successful outing.

Few more trips on the little boat from last week. The story remains the same - excellent action all day long while we have to work hard for the keepers. Worked a lot of smaller pieces which seem to be holding the keepers. Regardless, the rods are bent all day long and lots of fun had by all. Thanks to both groups for joining us !

Excellent fishing Wednesday for Georgie's charter with family and friends. Lights out action from start to finish, with loads of shorts and lots of keepers in the mix. Bounced around a lot to put it together, but everywhere we went held some nice fish. Georgie had the hot hand nailing 8 keepers himself orl, with Jordan not far behind with 7 keepers orl. Big fish of fhe day went just over 6 lbs. We look forward to this trip every year and this one definitely did not disappoint!

Next week's weather looks gorgeous and we have plenty of space available!

Had both little boats out this past Tuesday. Capt Georgie had Kelli and the girls, while Capt Joey ran our open boat group. Both boats saw similar results, with non stop action throughout the trip with shots of nice keepers coming up. Its been taking lots of bouncing around to get it done but staying at it will get you rewarded! Lots of laughs and lots of fun for both boats, thanks for coming out !

We highly suggest booking in advance as most trips often sell out.
