The Wake and Funeral Service for Norris P. Gordon, Jr. is going to be held at

Viewing: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Service: 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

We sincerely hope that everyone can attend and give Norris, Jr. the kind of sendoff that he truly deserves. He was one of the most dedicated, devoted and selfless members ever to be part of our organization. We will miss him dearly.

We will be paying a special tribute to our beloved coach, Jose Castro, this upcoming Saturday, May 30th, 2026, at 2 p.m. on Parade Grounds - Field 3 (50 Parkside Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11218).

In case of rain, the tribute will be pushed to Sunday, May 31st, 2026, at 2 pm.

THE BONNIE YOUTH CLUB

To Bonnie Managers, Coaches, Members, Alumni, Friends, Parents and Players,

It is with deep sorrow that I need to inform you of the passing of Jose Castro and his mother in a fire that occurred this past Saturday morning at 6 am in their apartment building.

Jose was a member of the Bonnie Youth Club for over 40 years, serving as a Bonnie Manager, Coach, Assistant Athletic Director and member of our Board of Directors. His dedicated and tireless efforts (24/7/365) and the devoted service, passion and caring that he demonstrated towards baseball, the Bonnies and all of our players of all ages on every day of his Bonnie Career will never be forgotten. In addition to his tremendous efforts with the Bonnies he was also the JV coach at Packer High School, ran his own summer camp and did individual academic and athletic tutoring of youth of all ages.

We will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace.

Funeral arrangements are not yet in place but when they do become available we will notify everyone of the details.

We are proud to announce that we will be holding an Injury Prevention Screening, in conjunction with .

This is an arm and shoulder screening for all players between the ages of 10 and 18 for signs of any physical problems before they become more serious.  

The Arm and Shoulder Screening is going to take place on Sunday, February 22nd, at Erasmus High School, in the hall outside of the 3rd Floor Gym between the hours of 12:30 pm and 3 pm. 

We strongly encourage all of our Bonnie players in those age groups to participate!

The Bonnie Youth Club is looking for passionate players from ages 4 to 21 to join the Bonnies baseball family for the 2026 season.
